This is a well made video. Very organized and straight to the point. You should open a master class online.

In the course of a KZitem search while preparing to conduct a couple wildflower iPhone photography workshops for our local native plant society I came across this piece of Nigel Danson early history from back when you were still based in the Bay Area. Still relevant as ever. The foundations of photography are timeless. The tech keeps changing. Back when this video was posted the camera always in my shirt pocket was an iPhone 5, by year’s end it was replaced with an iPhone 8, recently replaced when it’s battery began to fail with an iPhone 13 Pro. The first photos I took with the 13 Pro were nightscapes. The camera that is always with us keeps gaining in capability and versatility. Apps too. I’m familiar with the apps you mentioned except ProCam. It is still actively maintained. Ver 13.6 (3 mos ago) enhances video support for the iPhone 13 Pro in fact. ProCam looks like it might displace Camera+ 2 as my go to alternative to the native camera app. We’ll see.

Many thanks, Nigel, for this excellent video. Though I own a couple very good cameras (Canon DLSR and Fuju X-T2) it took me a while to come to grips with the fact that my iPhone is also a very good camera I should be using it as one. Your video has been extremely helpful in providing good information to help me better use my iPhone as a real landscape camera. The apps you are using are excellent and I've already downloaded them. I look forward to getting a tripod mount to enable me to stabilize the phone/camera. Thanks again for all this information. Cheers!

Just looking through some of you older videos and came across this one, I have realised recently how good the I phone 8+ actually is for photographs, however I will be trying some of the apps you suggest to get more control over the setting and noise. Great stuff, thanks Nigel.

Thanks Nigel, very well made and explained. - One tip I always give to others: clean your lens and if needed lick it and rub it against cotton. It gives so much better color and contrast on the picture.

Nigel, thanks for this interesting and informative video. It was shot a couple of years ago and I think you were using Pro Cam with an iPhone 6. With the evolution of iPhone cameras is an app like Pro Cam 7 still useful on the iPhone X or even the iPhone 11 Pro?

Hi Nigel. Looking at the apps you use I have just down loaded Snapseed. . I have 1 which I find useful is "whistle camera". when have down loaded what you can do with it is when you are taking "selfies" all you have to do is whistle at the camera it then counts down 3 secs and takes a picture. You can also do the same with the main camera at the rear, but you do not have a 3 sec count down, it takes the pic straight away. I have a Galaxy Note 5 android, will that quad lock fit my mobile.
