01) Wash your dirty brushes 02) exfoliate your skin (liquid exfoliator and be gentle) 03) shaving your face - dermaplaning 04) switch out products depending on season (summer, fall, winter, and spring) - foundation too. The climate changes. 05) if you can afford it, get facials or do facials at home. Pamper yourself and skin. Masks….. Bonus Tip: 06) Sleep

Bonus tip is so true. Flight attendant here, red-eye flights, jet leg, sleep deprivation, experienced all. It happened to me three times that my friends noticed I look different after my leave, which I stayed at home, no travel, tried to sleep on time every night. They asked if i did anything different to my face because I look younger.

Adapting to the seasonal changes usually takes me a while. The onset is quick. I know it’s fall when my skin is dehydrated. There is another shift when it’s really winter, really spring and really summer. I find one of the quickest adjustments I can make is to change my sunscreen. I started to use sunscreen everyday year round. It’s made a huge difference in my skin health but it’s a difference maker in the moisture retention of my skin. Thank you for sharing, Nikki. All of your experience and knowledge has made a huge difference to so many of us.

The clean brushes tip makes such a difference!! I generally forget to do that, though, because once my makeup is on, I’m out the door to work, and then it’s not on my mind again until the next morning when it’s too late to wash/dry them. 👀 I finally had to set an alarm for the weekend so that I’d have the time and the inclination to do it properly! I love hearing tips like this in addition to your “how to” videos. Thanks a bunch, Nikki!!!

Hi Nikki. I'm 64, and have been shaving my face for years. The hair doesn't grow back thicker, and there's no stubble. It's also great for wrinkle control. And it's a great exfoliator. I'm guilty of not masking enough, nor sleeping enough. Great video. Thank you so much. ❤❤

Hi hi! Just a reminder for people with shaving your face, dermaplaning is not the same as shaving your face. Please go to a professional for the procedure. Shaving your face is surface level and not with a surgical grade scalpel like professional dermatologists use.

Hers my tip for super clean makeup brushes…double cleanse them! Rinse them out and then massage coconut oil into the bristles. The rinse again and cleanse with soap as usual. The oil will loosen things and allow the cleanser to work better. Plus the brushes feel softer afterwards!

Nikki, these are great tips! Do you recommend quick cleaning your brushes as you're applying makeup? I've seen products that claim you can remove color quickly with a dry sponge or a quick drying spray solution. Seems a nice option, but I'm not sure if it's good for the brushes long term and how the skin may be affected. 😊

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Face Serum SPF 60+ is amazing under makeup. They reformulate it every few years but I've been using some form of this for longer than I can remember. Without SPF i get the worst hyperpigmentation and this stuff has never let me down. Bonus is that it's very affordable.
