I love a recipe I was taught it's called 3 can cake 1 can of sweetened condensed milk 1 can cherry pie filling 1can drained crushed pineapples and 1 bowl cool whip mix together and chill

My mom made a recipe similar to that as a frozen pie: one can of sweetened condensed milk that you mix with the juice of 2 lemons then fold in 1 large can cherry pie filling, a cup of chopped pecans, and a 16 oz tub of cool whip then divide it between 2 graham crusts and freeze. As kids that was one of our favorite pies. It is best when it freezes at least 24 hours. I will have to try your 3 can cake recipe!! Thanks for sharing!

I know what your husband is talking about. It's real made from scratch pudding that makes all the difference. And yes, eating it while the pudding is still warm is the best!

It's the dull side you want to touch the food. The shiny side is reflected an allows the heat to bounce off giving it a more even cook. TFS Sweetie Hug's 💙🫂🥰🦋🌻

My mom always made warm banana pudding with her own homemade custard and served it warm. Sometimes I make it warm but will use the boxed pudding you cook when I am in a hurry, but I do like it better warm. You asked what recipes we like at potlucks. I love 7 layered salad or a family favorite is an old recipe called hamburger corn pone pie. As a peanut butter lover I HAVE to try those peanut butter bars!! Thanks for sharing your amazing recipes! I love pineapple pie, as a child when it was my birthday, I would ask for pineapple meringue pie instead of cake!!

I grew up with the cooked custard banana pudding that my mama made and I really didn't like it! That was all I was used to, but I just didn't like it. Still don't, to this day----doesn't matter who makes it. I grew up and discovered French vanilla instant pudding and a recipe for banana pudding and fell in love. I don't make it like Paula Dean, but I think it's wonderful. I'll be curious to see if you let us know if you like the cooked kind. If you like cooked custard pies, you may like it.

I like the way you present assembling recipes. Banana Pudding, only way to make and eat is by the recipe on the original vanilla wafer box. Hot out of oven is the only way to go. To make original Banana Pudding you must stand at the stove for 10 minutes and cook the hot custard. I like my Banana Pudding with more vanilla wafers than the recipe called for I like my bananas sliced thin. And of course the beaten Meringue Topping put in oven, quickly after custard is finished, mmm good. Lived in Georgia all my life and this is the only way for Banana Pudding, all other recipes we call PREFAB.

I love your channel… you are an absolute sweetheart! But the thumbnail picture of mouth wide-open is getting old with all the KZitemrs out there! I don’t know if that’s what KZitem is telling you what to do… But it is getting irritating… When I scroll through all the thumbnail pics, 90% have mouth open wide “shocked or surprised.”pictures… Just please stop.

Dull or shiny side of foil doesn’t make any difference. They are just the result of the manufacturing process. Don’t ask me why, but I’m sure there’s a KZitem video explaining it!😂

They make a foil nowadays that has a non-stick side, so it really does matter which side you use. It tells on the box which side is non-stick.
