Excellent work as usual. I agree with your assessment about Lebron being the most scrutinized all-timer ever. However, part of the heavy criticism by Jordan supporters probably isn't just about the 6-0 vs. 3-5 debate....but rather Lebron not taking full advantage of his Heat tenure or 1st year back in Cleveland. Bird had help...Magic had help...Jordan had help...Shaq and Kobe had help...LBJ eventually got help. When being considered the GOAT...context is the deciding factor. Bottom line....once Jordan had the opportunity to play in championships...his teams won more than LBJ'S did. Star players on teams have always had to bear the burden of accepting the consequences of being the GOAT in a positive way...or negative way. The real question is why are we attempting to change this "player based" way of thinking in attempts to diminish what Jordan has done and ignore LBJ's failures by what matters the most.....wins over stats.

One thing Dom I will say you must up on is saying Kobe's team put him in position to stay and not leave like Lebron. But there was 4 years his team was absolutely horrible and another 4 years they were rebuilding and that leaves 8 years he went through trash BUT Lebron only didn't have talent in beginning years. Then they surrounded him with really good defensive player like the 01 76ers did to Ai and they did the same thing lost in the finals easily. Still good enough to go to the finals but he needed and kobe didn't have that those eight years. Then of course after that Lebron had 8 years of unbelievable talent. So to some up Kobe's worse team years versus Lebron's worse team years gives Lebron the lead in that category. Now Mj did have help his whole career and had no reason to leave to add to your argument. Just to put icing on cake is that Kobe requested a trade since the organzation didn't do anything. Other then that I liked the rest of your 5

Logic of LeBron haters: Scenario 1) LeBron goes to Miami to win some rings. "LeBron sucks. He has to be surrounded by all stars to win a championship. Can't win a ring without help." Scenario 2) LeBron stays in Cleveland surrounded by a scrub team. "LOL. LeBron sucks. He can't even carry his team to a championship."

LeBron is literally the most hated NBA Superstar off all time. The reason is because he's the only one that can be considered the GOAT. For example if KD said he's was chasing the "Ghost of Chicago" people would laugh. (Because of what he did of course). But if LeBron does it; It's a real conversation. The 3-6 argument is legit because it’s his fault that his teams were bad. He picked the players & put them in a system that took them out of their play styles so that he could be the focus. He didn’t make his team better, he actually made damn near every player that came to Cleveland worse. It’s not a coincidence that almost every single player that played with him got worse. I know that’s not 100% his fault, but at the same time, he’s the team leader & he’s an on court coach, so the 3-6 argument is completely legit.

Justin Stupart kinda depends on what you mean by better. Like, averages players in the 80s or 90s were much better defenders and mid range shooters than the average players of today. Post game is also dying out now, when back then most bigs had a nice post game. But now, with advances in tech and such, players are better physically. Also, average players now have a much better 3pt shot and because in the nba now, thats what matters. Defense, post game, and mid range shot mattered more back then.

That means out of his 9 championship runs, he absolutely had no chance in 4 of them. The issue is he plays the LeBron system and it hurts. 2014 he had a nice chance to win that the Heat as a team fell short due to chemistry issues and 2011...... Fucking yea 2011.

2011 truly deserves his criticism but still you need to give props to the Mavs team: so well coached, impeccable defense and a Dirk hitting hard shots in crucial moments. 2014 Spurs relied entirely in ball movement, it was so quick and precise that they always found the open man and it was almost impossible for the defense to cover holes. Even the Heat good defense had a lot of troubles. Add Wade and Bosh performance plus the Spurs getting hot on offense and it shows the Spurs as the better team. 2015 was basically 1 vs 5 and it took the Warriors 6 games to beat him (2016 was Warriors mission to prove they deserved to win, and the Cavs won in 7 after they chocked 3 games in a row) 2017 was basically the Warriors creating the avengers so they could beat Thanos (Snake trade) 2018 most likely will lose again if he reaches the finals but the media wants him to beat GSW with 4 healthy all-stars (2 superstars, 1 top 2 player) all in their primes with his current roster and I am pretty sure they will destroy him if he looks for a team with a better chance Unlike another franchise as Lakers, Celtics, Bulls in its time or Spurs, Cleveland is an awful organization and if not for Lebron recruiting free agents is pretty much hopeless

Some more insight to teammates saving championships. Robert 'Big Shot Bob' Horry saved Lakers from going down 3-1 to Kings in 2002 ECF (arguable with the help of refs) with a game 4 buzzer beater. ORRRR His 2005 Finals buzzer beater sending the game into overtime in Detroit giving them the edge 3-2 in the series. In the attempt to close them out at home. Though Lakers and Spurs at this point had already won championships. The legacy of Kobe Shaq and Duncan would have been talked about differently for losing to teams they should have easily dominated when you look at their overall bodies of work throughout their careers. This all being said Lebron's supporting cast should be in the conversation just as much as Horry's when it comes to championship talk but each of the games Lebron was a juggernaut and got the team within striking distance to even thinking about closing out the games.

Bill Russell . Before bill russ join the Celtics the team was a scrub. Did his role and a great leader. And because of that there's so many Hof Celtics because how dominant they were. One of his team mate ave 7 points per game in his career but made it to hof because of how dominant Celtics were. Bill russ made his team mates play to their best abilities

your missing the point of ppl who critique James more than the other top 10 superstars of All Time ( Magic, MJ, Duncan, Bird, Kobe, Shaq, etc..) it's not that he doesn't deserve to have teammates that do their jobs like everyone else teammates have done, but LeBron James has done LESS with the teammates he has had the LUXURY of having in his PRIME on those SuperTeams (2010-2017) than everyone else..promising 7-8 rings & barely winning 2 while Magic, Shaq, kobe, kareem, MJ etc. DOMINATED with their supporting cast & have better results than him..THEY DID WHAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO IN THOSE SITUATIONS & IF THEY HADN'T THE NARRATIVE SURROUNDING THEIR LEGACIES WOULD BE DIFFERENT..imagine if kobe & shaq won 1 ring together, magic won 1 ring with the 🐐 Kareem, tim duncan only won 1 ring with Robinson etc...there would be a whole lot more A.i. & Charles Barkley like legacies & even less Mt.Rushmore legacies than the 5 we got now..the criticism he receives is fair game

Junior Barton I like your argument, few problems I have though. 1. Shaq dominated in the early 00s because the center position was severely lacking in talent. Why do you think the Magic got killed by the Rockets in 95? 2. Kareem is not the GOAT. I can list some reasons for you, but I'm too lazy so I'll post a link for you to read. Nobodytouchesjordan.blogspot.com Scroll down and you will come across two sections: MJ (and Hakeem) vs Kareem Why Hakeem is the GOAT Center

Junior Barton That's not an accurate comparaison though. Shaq/Kobe and Kareem/Magic is not the same as LeBron playing with Wade and Bosh.

as far as i'm concerned kareem & jordan are 1a & 1b when it comes to the GOAT title...i actually edge MJ as the GOAT because of his 11 year body of work where he accumulated 95% of his accolades (trophies, mvps etc.) & 95% of his stats. his wizards seasons were jus icing on the cake but Kareem is only player top 5 in 3 major statistical categories & had the most unstoppable shot known to man with MJs fadeaway at a close 2nd..still MJ>kareem
Ben H i said "etc"..meaning any duo or trio you can think of that dominated....mj pippen are very comparable to lebron/wade or lebron/kyrie & so is duncan/robinson which only ended due to injury or duncan/parker which won 3 together

The thing that annoys people about Lebron and Durant is that they always have to be at the head of the class. They always have to leave their perspective teams to play on the best teams. Just let nature take its course. So what if your team finishes in 4th place. Just stay in Cleveland. Jordan never jumped ship to play with Magic or Bird, when he couldn't get past Detroit. People are sick of hearing, "Lebron is going to Philly, Lebron is gpoing to San Antonio, Lebron is going to Golden State." Bird never jumped ship.

Right, Cause Rodman, Grant, Pippen arent all star caliber teammates. Also, did Jordan face a team nearly as great as the spurs or the warriors? Lebron faces better competition in the finals but he should only have the same amount of all stars in his team? Thats like expecting anthony davis to go to the finals with his team cuz Lebron did it.

Name the time Jordan moved past the first round of the playoffs before Pippen came on board to relieve some of the passing, bringing up the ball, and defensive responsibilities? And lest we forget Horace Grant on the glass and Rodman during Jordan's second go round. Not to mention Kerr and Paxson hitting some big shots in the Finals to seal closely contested games. I'll wait.

Real talk I used to be the biggest lebron hater. If you look at my old phone from years ago you can see so many memes about him being a choker, having a receding hairline, and him being a crybaby, but after really taking the time to appreciate what he’s done throughout the years, he’s become my favorite player.

lol he's still got all stars on his team. How is this team horrible? it's just not stacked like all the other teams he's played for. he's got great role players and k love and had a great team too but i think their struggles this year illustrates a fallacy of LeBron James. his hamartia. HE coaches his whole team. Despite having an amazing offensive coach in David blatt, he decided to run an iso heavy offense and play himself 40 mins a game, even when unnecessary. he doesn't give his teammates a chance to flourish. And his own teammates accuse him of stat padding. In any case his criticism of failing in the finals is fair. he's playing amazing, yes. but Jordan scored 63 and 49 averaging 44, 6 and 6 in the first round vs an all time great Boston team and he's roasted for that. And Jordan had no help compared to Jordan. his career will be great anyways. he'll give us some of the best highlights ever, for sure. but his legacy as a winner is tarnished by his finals record where he was the favorite to run more than half the time

LMAO no he is pretty damn amazing. Have you seen his record? He runs amazing offensive sets and turns random teams into championship contenders, and title winners. If you make it past ESPN analysis and look at the plays he runs and how well they run them when not on a LeBron team, you'll see what a train wreck LeBron is when he tries to run everything. Give it a few years and a second chance. David Blatt will be back and will be redeemed if he has a roster of less-egotistical players I'm sure.

In Euro Ball. Those principles don't always translate dude. He had a bunch of problems trying to operate in the NBA with timeout management, minutes played, schemes etc. The Cavs offense did better without him than with him. I don't think he's terrible but he took to long to adjust to the NBA and the Cavs didn't have patience for it. Maybe he could get a shot with a developing team like the Bucks or something.

Great video. I think the difference with Lebron and these other guys is how he came into the league. Calling himself Chosen One and King James before winning anything, etc. People don’t like unproven players talking big. That’s not to say it’s right, I’m simply saying that is how it is. So unlike those other guys, he had a self inflicting target on his back and many people wanted him to fail because of it, to humble him so to speak.

I honestly don't think it's Lebron that gets Lebron his hate. Like any great his game get critiques, like anything Skip says, but the main issue is his fan base. They try to insult every other great and try to put Bron above them and now trying to prove he is the goat by beating the raptors and pacers. Like we get it he's a top __ but you got ESPN doing all these bogus stats (most fadeaway hit in a game the last 10 seasons +playoffs) and we don't want to listen to ppl cry sympathize and insult other hall of famers to do this.

Bron just didn’t play well in the 2007 finals. 68% from ft, 39% fg, 22 ppg, less assists, rebounds, steals and blocks than what he was averaging in the 2007 playoffs. He had more turnovers in 4 games then he had in either of the 6 game series prior. Bron only scored 14 points in game 1 of the 2007 finals. I agree that the team was outmatched in 2007 but his individual performance was lacking. In 2011 it was the same type of story. Terrible performance for LeBron. He is probably the reason Miami lost that finals. 2014 LeBron did his thing but his teammates came up lacking. 2015 Love and Kyrie were hurt. 2017 Bron had a monster series but Cavs were outmatched. 2018 Bron did well but Cavs were outmatched. You can make an argument that he quit on his team after the play by JR. Bron certainly had a tantrum. Bron is an all time player no doubt. My knocks on Bron aren’t about the finals per say. That only comes into play when you compare him to all time greats. It’s the defensive inconsistencies, joining the competition, flopping, self-proclaiming GOAT, that silly hand cast after getting swept, “no help” after 60 win seasons and losses in the finals.

I think the difference in Lebron's clutch teammates and other all time great's teammates is people acknowledge the others' teammates (james worthy, for example. He's not just "magic's teammate" to your average fan back then), while Kyrie Irving hits the biggest shot in Cavaliers history & everyone runs to pat Lebron on the back. People don't respect LeBron's teammates, compared to those of other all time greats. Also, as far as changing teams to win, its not so much that people dislike him for changing teams, its the fact that he always has to team up with multiple franchise players in their prime (Wade & Bosh were around 26 in 2010, Love & Irving had also reached their prime by 2014), and its looking like he's gonna do it again this summer. No other all time great has joined up with multiple franchise players IN THEIR PRIME in order to compete, so please don't say Barkley-Olajuwon-Drexler, or KG-Pierce-Allen, or Kobe-Shaq-Malone-Payton. Those are all examples of past their prime former stars teaming up (except Pierce, he was at the end of his prime).

Can we be honest about the real reason why people like myself critisize him. Dom definitely hit a number of points like the cockiness in the Miami move, and the Ray Allen 3 but that's just one side of things. The actual reason is we want something new. We are tired of LeBron always there despite great performances leading up to the finals. The same can be said about the Warriors although nobody hated them before KD got there. Look at what people in the media say. Hyping Ben Simmons as "a jump shot from being LeBron", I hear analysts saying Donovan Mitchell is going to be the next Kobe, Lonzo will be the next Magic, and all of this other stuff because we're ready for new blood. Next year is going to be THE year we hype all the new teams up into oblivion.
