You can actually start a bike with a dead battery if you simply get it rolling fast enough and switch into second gear. I tried it once. You can make your clutch cable last a really long time by oiling it with gear oil. What really ruins my days is the constant rain, cold weather and strong winds plus a lack of twisted curved roads in my area and the fact that speeding tickets are very expensive plus they can confiscate your bike here.

Nice video dude. They all happened to me but it can get worse, believe me. The worse thing that happened to me, and it's keep happening from time to time, is telling my girlfriend I go out for a ride and then her inevitable answer: "Can I come with you?" Dude, that ride is totally compromised. Of course I can't say "No". So I'll have to take her, and because she is afraid of speed I can't go faster than 120 km/h (that's about 50 miles/h), and tha only if it's a straight road. That speed, on a liter bike, is a total waste of...everything. Time, money, fuel, rubber, and of course fun. Lucky me, that she still have to go to work, so I learned to plan my rides when she's working....muahahaha!

1.Always keep a spare cable in your seat. 2.learn how to hot wire your bike, properly with out blowing your system. Or keep you key on a chain or retractable keyring. 3.All ways lift your plate and never stop for cops. 4. Be a man a bump start your bike, or buy a bike with a kick 5. Yeah nah that shit you can't stop. But you can get plug kits and mini tyre pumps so you can save your self if you're on a long one.

Starting your bike, and there it is: a rhythmic ticking sound, seemingly mocking your elevated heart rate. You don't know what it is, but you know diagnosing and fixing it is going to take time you could otherwise have been riding. Enjoy the next week swearing profusely in your garage every time you need a special tool that you don't already have.

When you take on a scooter as a fun cheap project to learn to wrench and repair, you take it to show it off when you're finished and your nephew immediately crashes it. Destroying 3 body panels, custom paint, the custom leather seat, breaking a bar end mirror and shattering your soul... all in one quick jerky mess of a second. Welp. Okay. What next? Lmao

what ruins a riders day is ripping on gorgeous back roads with your friends, not having a care in the world other than wanting to get to your final destination for food and drinks over looking a gorgeous body of water, to than look down and see your MIL light/ engine light on and not knowing why or how it came on and thinking back to what you did on the way up that could have set it off. the WHAT IFs set in and you contomplate your life choices leading up to that moment when you see that light on.

#1 happened to me a few years ago in the middle of the northern Italian alps... but I was very lucky, there was a Motorbike-shop about 5 minutes away, and I was not alone. Since then, I always carry a repair-set with me. And guess what. Last weekend it happened to my son, while we were on a tour together. Took us about 45 minutes. And the day was saved :-)

A snapped clutch cable is just a minor inconvenience. Hop on the bike push with your feet until you get it to a reasonable speed and then put it into first (this does wear your transmission but i'd rather a little extra wear than to be stuck on the side of the road) And you should be able to up and downshift with some throttle management. Now just ride to the nearest shop. Pro tip : slow down at the sight of red lights to avoid having to push the bike

Rain!!!!! Everything was spot on, but the brake distance statistic, well that was somewhat optimistic. You have to be more gentle and carefull when braking a bike at high speed, overcooking your braking means the friction material's surface area just got larger (and more organic ;) ). Even during the staged cop pulling you over, you used up way too much road to come to a standstill. But other than that, spot on, I definitely can relate.

1. check the open ends for rust, the cable will let you know its about to snap soon. 2. should have 3 keys, one in the bike, one on your keychain with the rest of your keys, so thats 2 on you, and one at home, i myself need to make a home copy actually, if getting robbed, throw the ignition key, pretend to ditch and run, as robber goes for thrown key, use keyring spare to escape. 3. if you are honest, and have your paperwork on point, it can go a looong way. 4. if it failed, yeah they dont warn too much, if you left the ignition on... just push start it dum dum. 5. carry a puncture repair kit, and a tiny mountain bike hand pump, it all fits in my fz1, i know some supersports got even less trunk than me. my PC5 is in there with the bike's tool kit as well, super tight fit

@Chaos Causes If you're reading this take a road trip in Turkey! Beautiful roads, and a little secret for everyone: If you find a newly build highway or an old (built before the highways were) road most of the time there are old radars (can't calculate avg. speed) or no radars!

Funny stuff but true none the less. I'm a returning rider after 50 years gone. One day I went out to practice and the bike just wanted to waddle? I couldn't correct myself enough to get rid of it. Can't just be me? Air pressure was low...so I'm thinking all kinds of things at this point. So, I parked the bike, got in the car and went to the parts store to get an angled head tire pressure dial gauge. Then of course, I just had to get some cleaner and McGuire's Final Touch to ease her pain at such unwilful abuse. Yup. Tire Pressure was low for my weight on the bike per the sticker on the frame. At 225lbs I'm over the 198lb limit. That fixed, I had to go back out for a bottle of Sta-bil, since the additives were settling out of the fuel. 1oz per 2.5 gallons. Perfect for my 2.5G tank. Then of course, I just have to practice riding some more to get it through the fuel system. Oh darn...
