How many people seem to miss the good old days, including me, but when living them we don’t acknowledge what is and the simple, natural life that was part of that time. To look back at how things were and what is now forever gone,is quite heartbreaking! As a child I lived in Johore Bahru, just across the Singapore causeway, in Majadee Barracks. How I loved sitting on the verandah in the evening and watching the sun drop down and this was the signal for the nighttime chorus to begin! How wonderful bedtime was, lying under the revolving ceiling fan while from outside the chirruping cicadas and croaking frogs were the perfect lullaby. And Tomorrow was another day!

It's so.wonderful to go back to the old old days.everything is so geuine. All the vegetables and poultries were all organic and no nonsense of pesticide involved. Hardly we fall sick for almost twenty years. People are humble and very helpful and not selfish like nowadays. Fresh air and no pollution.although we are poor, but contended and happy plus very satisfied.we are not materialistic and we live day by day a simple life. nowadays everyone put on a false mask to live their lives.things are costly and houses are expensive and the money value is low. If time could revive, l still preferred the old Kampong days, happy, contended and satisfied and no nonsense and nuisance to bother us.

The videos bring back old Singapore, where I was born in and lived till 1968! From a big Kampong it has developed into the Kingpin of South East Asia! That is a success story few countries can ever match. And it was done by one remarkable person, Lee Kuan Yew and his team!

That time had long gone, - old dilapidated buildings, primitive transportation , dust paved narrow street, sliding lamp posts, etc ... one commonly found in a developing backward country . Vast differences can be observed in today modern Singapore.
