As much as I understand each Man on his own merits and can make -some- excuses for their missteps it was THIS one that really made me have to side with 50, unequivocally. We all know ALL the business deals were arranged by 50. We can all safely say he never left his homies behind and set them up to dominate the rap game. It's like busting your a$$ for your family but your girl won't lift a finger to help around the house. Without any support, what's the point of busting your a$$? Gotta cut folks off when they're not pulling their own weight or they'll bring you down with them. Even your Day 1s. Cuz if they were really loyal they'd NEVER let you be down bad nor be the REASON you're down bad. Lost a lotta respect for Bank$ and Buck for how they mismanaged their opportunities. I wholly believe they never had malice in their hearts--they were just young and dumb (lazy). But they fumbled the bag all the same and THAT'S a shame.

But like so many other situations like this they didnt have that same kind of loyalty for 50. Everybody wanted to be 50, but unwilling to put in the work! Like Master P said, “sleeping is for poor people”!

Your work ethic comes from your first examples, your parents. If you don’t have parents or they have a poor work ethic, you’ll probably lower your expectations for yourself. My mother was a RN, father was a railroad electrician by day and a Deputy Sheriff at night. I thank the man upstairs that I had those examples in my house, or I would probably be one of those people who just did enough to get by, or to lazy to do anything.

Wait, so Shady records had a thing in their contract where it said “they can start a record label”? I’m paraphrasing but if that’s true, I have tons of respect for them because most labels try to make sure you’re not selling without their name in the sale

Don't forget to throw master p in with those names. He even let his artists have their publishing.

most record labels let bigger artists set up their own label but they still work for and owned by the main label, shady records is owned by interscope and so is dre's label its like a subsidiary and its not like they doing it out of the good of their heart, they just know they are competent enough to pull it off

From my understanding a "record label" started by an artist that is already signed to a record label hollow asset doomed to expire (milk). Universal contracts with Jimmy Iovine. Iovine owns Interscope, Interscope signs/owns Dre and his products. Dre creates Aftermath and signs Eminem. Eminem creates Shady and signs 50 cent who then starts G-Unit. Lol. Pyramid scheme anyone?
