I used to lock up the rear wheels and drift the thing around and do a 360 on the street. One time I flipped the kart onto myself in the road, not a fun day. This video is such a nostalgia trip. I vividly remember those pedals, the seat, the back u bar behind the engine and that toggle switch under the steering wheel.Oh yeah i had to add my cart was Blue! My brother turbocharged it with a gas powered leaf blower and cooked the piston ring. A worthy send off indeed.

I’ve had a number of the pacesetters of that kind. All of mine have been one wheel drive. As you’ve probably figured out by now they’re a ken-bar model kart made throughout the 90’s and maybe part of the late 80’s. and this particular model was a base model. Nothing fancy just your run of the mill yard kart. I believe almost all of them came with a Tecumseh engine. Not sure what HP but if I had to guess I’m sure it would’ve came with a 5.5HP. I have seen some with the Briggs flathead “fun power” engines. They’re very common but what’s different about yours is the pedals which I don’t think are original to the frame.
