About number 10- I think one should respect people despite their jobs but not to the extent of letting them trample over you. I'm bringing this up because of the given example with the waiters: in my country the serving staff can sometimes be very terrible: I have had an unfinished piece of food taken away, I have had other people put on my table just because the restaurant is full but they don't want to lose the opportunity for some additional bucks, I have had waiters that rudely refuse to hear any positive or negative review for the food of the quality of service and I have had waiters that have been flat out rude. It is important to know that everyone is fighting their own battles but I think it is also important to stand for yourself when you're being treated unjustly.

I disagree with your position on marriage. It felt like you missed the point of what the 80 year old was saying. I feel like if you marry for love, real love, not just convenience or lust which can dissolve quickly leaving you stuck on an awkward position once that ends. If you keep nourishing that love every day, then you can be blessed throughout your life, even on troubled days. I've seen older couples who have been married for a long, long time and they are the happiest people in the world, becoming better people every day for each other. Truly happy. Anyways, I like the other things you said a lot, but because of this, I can't feel I could share this video with people close to me. #justmyopinion

50% is a false statement about divorce 😝
@user-ho7jg2vs9o
4 жыл бұрын
@@ImprovementPill I am only talking about the USA here btw. I don't know the actual number, but 50% is a projection and its thrown around all the time. The divorce numbers are weird due to second marriage. If you only look at first marriages the divorce rate is around 30%(still pretty bad). The divorce statistics include people who get married multiple times. While it may be accurate for measuring all divorces it is very misleading because second marriages have around a 60% rate and so on. In other words people who get married 2-4 times in their life mess up the statistics for the majority of people who only get married once or twice. Edit: For college educated women who marry after the age of 25 and have established an independent source of income, the divorce rate is only 20 percent!

my downvote on this video was definitely because of this. Perpetuating false narratives is not helpful for anyone. Especially suggesting just living together as a solution?? I lost my father when I was 5. I do not cry because At that time I never knew taht people who die never come back. I waited for him to return. Eventually realising that's not gonna happen. Then I had developed maladaptive daydreaming. Also I realised if my mother could take care of everything what's the point having a father. And slowly I began to think all men are useless and just trash not that I treated my male friends badly but inside I used to think so. Until I met a professor in Uni who so nice and inspiring to all students. I got to know that he also has a daughter. I felt oh how nice it would be to have a father like him. For the first time I thought maybe it's not bad to have a father But the next semester he moved to a far away University and I'm just sitting here and crying. I never thought I would be sissy l never cry like whiny baby this emotion was so new to me. He doesn't know i lost my father, i never told him. He might think I silly to see him as my father and trying to grab sympathy maybe. It's been almost a year. But it still makes me cry like hell. What do i do????? 😭😭😭😭😭

The only point that I don’t agree with is living together but not being married, if you love eachother then you should get married because marriage bonds you even more, if you aren’t married then there is nothing that you bond with except emotion, and when emotions are out of control it’s easier to breakup, and how are you going to talk about money? Who is paying what? It’s so much easier to solve problems when you are married because solving them is easier than divorce

I remember the first time where I found myself and my goal in life. One day, I went to my english classes (bc I speak spanish) and something no one in my class expected happened. Because that day was the 50 years of the moon landing, our teachers made a presentation about how the moonlanding came to be, and how it impacted all of our lifes. I am not into space stuff, I always had a weird feeling about it. First I thought this speech was going to be meaningless and that I would forget it the next day, but it wasn't just like that. I saw the point in my life. How I wanted to live it. I wanted to make a change, to inspire those around me. It didn't need to be a big change, but just make the day of someone a bit better, even if it's the bus driver or the cashier. I want to be proud of myself and make the legacy of my life (my kids) follow that pathway for their life. I hope I made someone's day better with this comment
