The Malaysian plate one is so good How I’m remembering it (for anyone interested): Malaysia has two main parts [mainland and Borneo] so therefore the plates are split in 2. Indonesia has more than 2 areas, and 3 is more than 2 so indonesia subsequently has 3 parts to their plates ;)

I grew up in Vermont so it's always cool seeing my small state get some recognition. I love the green plates as Vermonters use it to recognize one another :) great vid btw!

Interestingly, I've also seen all yellow road lines in Chile in the Reserva Nacional Los Flamencos on the Bolivian/Argentine border (there's also a bit on the road leading to it). I've never seen all yellow lines anywhere else in Chile (apart from the South, obviously)

Hey 2 years later. Colorado plates are gonna start being black as well. It's optional when getting plates but many many people are getting black, red or yellow ones. 2023 Colorado rounds will be different soon. Just thought about it

Is "illegal car market" really the reason that there are many RHD cars in Eastern Russia? I figured that it was just logical that because of the proximity it's quite normal to get cars from Japan. The same is true for Mongolia even though it is a lot further away from Japan, you see so many RHD cars in Ulaanbaatar even though they drive on the right side of the road.

just as an fyi, RP in indonesia does NOT stand for rupees. it stands for rupiah, which is of course the indonesian currency
@Raryrary

that is the best explanation for indonesian plate ever, the most commonly used are usually about those 3, the black one is for ordinary people, the yellow one is for transports and public services, and lastly the red one is for the govt officials (and they usually got smaller digits compared to the other two). the reason of why there are 3 sections is because the first one is for city/province acronym, followed by police numbers, and then district acronyms. but cant see it on google map cause its censored anyway.. also there are 2 sections plates but its reserved only for the police, diplomats, and armed forces (and its absolutely rare but very noticeable when you saw one).
