Hi .I really enjoy the rides ,I think the older John Deer's are the best ones anyway. I remember my old neibor 30 years ago living at home had a old JD he had to spin the big fly wheel to get it going, he plowed snow and mowed grass with it. It was a blast to watch him work that old machine. I wonder what his daughter done with it after he passed. RIP

we used to pull a 30 foot crust buster with the 4020 to smooth out the plowing before using the field cultivator. Same reasons. Stir it up and dry it out with the first pass and then prepare it for planting with the second. 4020 was open cabin The field cultivator was pulled with a 4640 with duals. Duals smoothed out the rough ground to save your back from all of the rock and roll twisting.

Hey Wes, we use our 5020 to plow all the time, we even used it to make the road to our farm house. The only problem that ive seen is that the gas tank can become corroded and the rear left axle sheared. Good news is that we fixed it.

I love chiseling and especially with an open station tractor..... unless there's a cold Minnesota north wind. I used to chisel with my brother's 190XT diesel. It's the most fun tractor to drive compared to cabbed tractors..... unless it's cold. I pulled a 9 shank Krause about 8 to 9 inches at 6 mph. When I was a kid we used to pull an 11 shank Ford chisel much slower with Dad's 190XT gasser. 11 shanks was a load for a gas 90 hp tractor.

There are some tractors a guy doesn't need a radio to listen to while driving That 5020 is one, International and Ford make a few to like that with 6 cylinders with and without turbo's. Looks to me like you could poke them sleeping Deere a bit more with a wrench and screwdriver it Don't smoke much in the video. The turbo kit would really boot them up the ass and get them all running to L.O.L.

Mack Thompson If you think that was an answer then you should revisit your lexicon for an updated definition of the term. I merely provided my own thoughts on his question and the comment section is public and open to all input, even yours however misguided it is. Maybe you should try being nice sometime so you know why other people do it.
@raykrv6a

+BILLSTMAXX :) Big boulders weight a lot. Used to skydive on a farm and we flew up on a Friday night to get an early start on Saturday. The pilot got a little off to one side of the grass runway because it was dark and hit the top of a boulder sticking up a few inches. Knocked the left wheel assembly off the landing gear. We did a nice little ground loop as the landing gear strut dug into the ground. Went into town and got some bolts the next morning and put the wheel assembly back on. Didn't have brakes fixed, but was able to haul jumpers all weekend. The next week I went up and dug a big hole next tot he boulder and knocked enough dirt out from under the boulder that it dropped into the hole. Then just pushed all the dirt into the hold and flattened it. The best part was taking out the stump at the end of the runway. This was back in the early 70's went you could get sticks of dynamite. Put one stick under the stump and it just blew the dirt out. So we put 3 sticks under it and that was a little much. Rocks flew by and the stump was shattered to pieces. Those were the days. Had a lot of fun.

I guess there's no need but do you have a mold board set up or a subsoiler setup and do you ever use them. Down here in East Georgia at the fall line and below farmers don't use mold board plows anymore. For their really deep tillage they use a subsoiler in front of rows to be planted and a subsoiler point in the middle of land that is bedded up. I can image since you are not growing corn or soybeans you don't have any use for the mold board plow or the subsoiler.
