Next time you decide to try and compare 2 combines that are not even comparable in size do some research as you don't really sound like you know much about what your blithering about .Put your blinders back on and head back to "Greenland"!

The 2377 was the replacement for the 2366. The 5K series combines replaced that; later. Personally I'd take the 2366 over the 5140 any day.

I'd think I was a king if I had a 1480 🙂

At least the 2366 and older combines you could actually work on when things go wrong. Ill take the 1680 that costs about nothing to run an 8 row and 30' head for years up to about 8000 hours.

Give me a Gleaner! I've worked at both a Gleaner dealership and a CaseIH dealership and the Case combines take more expensive parts to keep them in the field especially when you get some hours on them and they are are harder overall to repair. Not bad but not a Gleaner.

Seems like today big combines are either leased or traded off every 3 or four years at least around hear. This mean a lot of them did not have the best of care at least the last year or two. I think a guy can find a smaller machine in better shape unless they kept it until the wheels are ready to fall off .lol As I am sure you know you can run an 8 row 30' head on those but you wont set no speed records. A 25' flex head is about as big as a person would want to go. Did you see the new Case IH combine on the internet that looks a lot like the old 1400 series axial flows? I think it will be a hit with the IH group. Only think against it is cheap grain prices. Yeah a six row head looks small. I saw a 25' head the other day and it looked small. I can remember when a 25' and a 30' was the big boy heads. I guess I am use to the 40' and 45' heads now.

The thing I've never understood about combines is how many fucking numbers they have. Especially when I am on the combine forum or ag web I have to google every number they say so I understand what they are talking about.

We used have 2188 with big top n extended auger with 36ft front, 2100 were reliable compared 2366. 2388 was big combine back in its day but today new 9250 is big. After we trade in 2188 we went for 8010 with red top with 45ft front. I wouldn’t bother wasting money with small 5140 harvester, you cover more ground and less time with big combine like 7120.👍
