The previous owner didn't say he was it was maintained by a GOOD BMW master mechanic, so strictly speaking he could be right. Cheers Eric

Jesus christ, I hate when that happens. I've got ahold of a few vehicles that were "Mechanic maintained" and it was just botched so badly, it was a wonder how the car even ran.

I hate cleaning up after lousy mechanics. No end of unpleasant surprises. Seems it will be a nice car once you get it sorted.

Looks like he patched it up to sell it too you lol what else is dodgy?i always use a light smere of silicone on all my water pipe orings but not solely silastic 😂

bmw puts plastic parts in transmition,they should put metal ,and the metal is weak too ,they should put better metals and it would be for longer use .

I don't get it, new O rings would have been easier to make it seal than silastic. I see shit on cars all the time that I don't understand why it was done

I use new o-rings plus sealant, Double protection lol
