I noticed one interesting detail in the fpv footage... how can a current be approximately the same at 3.8 volts and also at around 2 volts at the end of the flight, all at approximately the same speed? I'm not saying that the footage is faked at all. I just find it interesting. I mean, I can't explain it. Maybe I'm missing some details... Did anyone get any similar times with any other motor/prop combo? 4 to 5 amps for that weight is really really great in my experience! The props are really big, but still... I really think that these particular motors must play a BIG part in that low power consumption. I guess I will have to construct it and see for myself! :) edit: some additional calculations: according to the footage, this motor+prop combo gives you 122g of thrust at 17W ! That's crazy. I'll have to replicate this :) Thank you mr. Scott! You got a subscriber.

Just finished a copy of your design with a 3D printed frame. Main frame thickness 8 mm! Tried PETG and PLA. PLA gives quite good stiffness but not comparable to carbon. @@ScottTomlinson Maiden yesterday successful: AUW 384 gramms with a 3S 3000 mAh LiPo. The 8mm thick 3D-printed PLA-Frame showed no vibrations. The only drawback: The frame with 8 mm thickness gave me a hard time to find the right screws to mount motors and FC. For the next 3D-design I have to foresee countersinks. Flight performance: In Angle mode almost no drift. Actually I didn't test full throttle accellerations. Just normal cruising at about 20-30 km/h. Performance 85 mAh/minute. So, the first 20 minutes flight consumed about 1700 mAh. Still props are not optimal. I'm using 6 gramm 5x4x3 props. For the first time I'm using INAV-Firmware on a HGLRC-FC. The BN180-Beitian GPS locked in with up to 17 satellites (!). The RTH and landing position precision was within plus/minus 30 cm. Funny to see such a "racing style" drone with gps position hold function.

I fly a 6s1p 21700 on a 6"/7" floss with a hero 9 that averages 12-16 minutes at 50-55mph(80-88kph). 8" quad with 6s2p 21700 8000mah with a full hero9 and cruises at 60-65mph(96k-104kph) for around 13-14 minutes. I usually land and voltage pops back up to around 3.2v per cell. I'm doing a naked hero8 soon so i'm guessing time will go up substantially with that mod. Obviously, I could fly much slower and stretch that time but my goal is outright speed while having efficiency. I'm also using full dji air units so if i went vista i could shed a little more weight but I like the robustness of the full-size transmitter.

Look at some of the DJI after market props! They have custom carbon fibre ones available 👍 Just not available on your typical hobby web store or Banggood or what ever? But you'll pay big $$ for them

Are we living in the future already? Wasn't there supposed to be some sort of bell or buzzer or something to let us know the future started ? Seems like yesterday i was playing nintendo with my cousin and watching saturday morning cartoons. Life is happening so dam fast.
