What is Bistable Multivibrator :
The Bistable Multivibrator has two stable output states and at any given point the output will be in one of the two stable states. Depending on the external triggering action the output will switch from one stable state to the other stable state. And the circuit acts like a flip-flop.
In this video, the design and working of Bistable Multivibrator using 555 Timer have been explained. The circuit does not require charging capacitors (unlike astable and monostable operation).
By controlling the input at Reset and Trigger pin, 555 timer can be configured as Bistable Multivibrator.
