This Video: R107 - Renewing The Air Flow Sensor
I am documenting every part of this vehicle as I put it back together. The idea is to end up with the best documented 560SL rebuilds on the Internet.
In this video I disassemble and recondition the fuel mixture control unit. The Mercedes-Benz documentation calls this Renewing Air Flow Sensor.
I want everyone who visits my channel to know about a friend of mine. His name is Tasos and his videos inspire me to be more like him. You can find his KZitem channel at:

My videos are not sponsored by anyone. The products and tools I use are products and tools I have purchased with my own money. I include links below to any special tools or products used in this video.
The only tools required to do this job is a 10mm socket, 12mm and 17mm open end wrench, a flat-head screwdriver and solvent for cleaning.
This video is very detailed and is intended for the absolute beginner (ME). This is how I did things. If you see a problem, let me and the world know by leaving a comment.
Disclosure: I have never pulled an engine before and I have never rebuilt one either. This video series is documenting an inexperienced old guy tore apart his 1987 560SL.
Here is a link to the on-line manual that I am somewhat following:

I will be doing a Facebook Live (or KZitem live) when I start this car for the very first time since 2008. Make sure you get notified when I publish a new video so you don't miss this special event.
