I use liquid nitrogen to shrink my sleeves, will shrink .009. You can just sit the sleeves in the hole.

I use the same sleeves, however install dry , any oil or locate will cause the sleeve to grab when using liquid nitrogen.

Thanks for posting. I picked up a Prelude SH recently, too! I hope to get her rebuilt before the summer to do the Tail of the Dragon.

John Strong I wish they didn't have the open cylinder deck, but for what I'm doing it should work. It did work for nearly 200,000 miles before it overheated due to a oil filter coolant hose leak.

It has been great. I don't drive the car daily so in the last 5 years or so I have only put about 15,000 miles on the engine, but so far its been perfect.

Are these sleeves good for boost?

They are better for cylinder stability than the stock aluminum cylinders. If you want extreme boost/cylinder pressure/power then there are some sleeves specifically designed for that (Darton is probably the most popular). The main advantage of the iron sleeves that I installed is I improved ring seal with a more concentric cylinder and I can overbore them if necessary. Also the improved cylinder stability allows for some mild boost, which is something I am considering.
