I have the same pressure regulator. ... they bleed off pressure really really quickly...it's normal long as it keeps pressure while running! !!!!! Looking good

I may be late and you may already know this, but that vacuum port on top of that regulator is so you can hook it to a boost controller or a ported vacuum so that when you get hard into the throttle it will let the fuel pressure raise a little bit so that the motor can get more fuel, super handy when you are going with a turbo, or anything, but if you find yourself starving for fuel in hard throttles hook it up to a ported vacuum off the intake, good job im glad i found your channel i myself is a gbody nut and building a little stroked 383 cutlass, cant wait to watch your build come together!

The slow pressure build could simply be from the pump having to work harder to get the fuel up in the line.. remember the ideal way to run external pumps is by letting gravity do most of the work.. in other words the fuel source should be above the pump that way the pump is rather just pushing the fuel to where it has to go rather than suckin it up from the gas jug

That fuel pump isn't going to cut it buddy. If it takes that long to build 58 than it's not gonna hold it at wide open throttle. Probably the reason why you ditched the Corvette reg. In tank pumps last 200,000 miles. they ain't loud af, a $30 Kemso pump will go in that old gas tank easy and support 600hp problem free
