To answer your question in the video about not having a wear sleeve on your engine: The engines did not have a wear sleeve from the factory, so it's normal for yours to not have one on the crank. The replacement seals come with a wear sleeve. They just kind of assume your crank wore out a little bit where it rides in the seal, and you need to make the surface nice and flat on the O.D. again. It's like a speedi-sleeve or redi-sleeve for an axle.

Nice work. Glad to see you back. I worried you might be in trouble when half way through the job you said it was going easier than expected. Usually Murphy's law hits when I tell myself how well a job is going. The 90 deg Milwaukee power ratchet looks like a good tool too. Thanks for posting.

Thank you for your time making the video. It helped a bunch. I did mine and still having a leak. I rewatched and realized I missed the 50lb torq. And the next step of “getting the 90 deg” I don’t completely understand? I’ll go get a torq wrench but if you can would you explain the 90deg.

Ive got a f350 with a 7.3, motor still strong but truck is long in the tooth. Looking for a f450, many clean 6.0 trucks out there, tell me the truth. Is the motor as bad as its reputation or has the internet added to its folklore? Heard the 6.4 is worse, no way I want fuel in the oil, thats a dealbreaker.

Rodney Palmer the 6.4 is crap, the 6.0 is pretty dam solid if you change the oil cooler, and do the updates to the high pressure oil system. And get rid of the egr cooler
