I did all of that minus the flow through, that's still in tax stamp jail. I worry about using an adjustable bolt carrier though. With the walls of the bolt being thinner, I wonder if choking that gas in the piston area may cause a pressure spike, causing more stress on the lugs. Love to hear your conclusions on that research.

I have a 12.5 SBR 6mm ARC , I run a “ generic suppressor “ with a SA bleed off gas block , set to the bleed setting with a H2 sound mitigation buffer that’s closer to the weight of a regular H3 and it cycles fine and shoots fairly soft , I run 90 grain eld-x with 30 grains of leverevoltion pushing over 2,500 fps out of. 12.5 inch barrel

The 6ARC needs an adjustable gas block. The people that build these aren't the spray and pray kids. We need a gun that is easy to configure for ammo changes and muzzle devices. I like the short BBL lengths for balance and speed.

The heavier Hornady loads are definitely gassy/dirty but I have found the opposite to be true with the new 80 VT's. I am running a 18" Rifle +1 Proof with a SLR gas block (non-adjustable) and a carbine buffer/tube/spring and it wouldn't even cycle them without a can. With a traditional can it has been 100% reliable and it's tossing the brass at 4 o'clock and much to my surprise it hasn't been that dirty either, relatively speaking. I have no plans to go to a flow through suppressor anytime soon but if I were in the market for another can I'd have a hard time passing on the HuxWrx 6K Flow.
@projectcikala1943

That’s interesting and same results I had when I shot the 80s, wouldn’t cycle even without a can. I’m using a lantac bcg (it’s said it vents gas away ) using vltor A5 buffer system. I switched buffer springs from braided to carbine, reduced power spring. Now it cycle’s flawlessly with a flow through can. Also built it with a radian suppressor optimized charging handle. I originally built it with SLR adjustable GB tried several brands thinking/hoping, to no avail. Also using 18” proof come to the conclusion proof gas ports are on smaller side.

@@projectcikala1943 I haven't looked at all of the barrels available out there but the gas port size looks to be on par with what Noveske is using on theirs. I just have to accept that the 80's will have to be shot suppressed, but I shoot that way 95% of the time so that's not a big deal.

I just finished a 20" rifle length gas 6ARC, superlative arms AGB as well as their enhanced Bolt carrier, Rexus Ultrabolt, JP SCS and a NON flow through Banish 30 suppressor. I loaded 10 58gr V-max's, 10 65gr, 10 75gr and 10 87gr v-max's all well below hornady's max loads. All the brass is forming a belted magnum like rim on the base's when I go to resize them. I read into it quite a bit and apparently the chamfer on the inside of the barrel being too large is one cause. Too short of Dwell time and running the brass to hard or poor brass quality is all I could find to explain it. I adjusted the gas and it ejects perfectly and shoots very softly. I only have an issue when I resize them, the cases look fine before hand. Its Starline brass with literally ONE firing on them SGT of Arms wants to sell me their "Grendel Belt Buster" die, I'm pretty pissed off I'm only getting one firing on brand new brass. I put 40 rounds through this rifle and I'm ready to swap the barrel and be done with 6 ARC if I cant get respectable brass life I even tried running them through my Grendel die first to size the body only and then sized the neck without the expander and then sized the case mouth. I had 10 cases out of the 20 ruined this way. better but still unacceptable. I cant imagine the belt buster die does anything different then a Grendel die would when only sizing the body of the case. Sgt of Arms has a video talking about it saying its unavoidable??? I did allot of research before building this rifle and never heard anything like this. I'm afraid to buy more/diff brass or anything else for 6ARC for that matter. I built a Grendel ar and never had an issue like this I have a 22" Grendel Howa Mini that doesn't do this even if I run the brass super hard.

I run the sup arns blocks on all of my own builds. I struggle convincing others to do the same. But sure as heck will get questions later on about harsh recoil or gassy or cycling issues. Lets normalize adj gas blocks and anything outside of carbine springs and carbine buffers... The a5 system is awesome, beyond that the heaviest buffer you can reliably run, run it. Nearly every undesireable shooting trait can be cured by one or the other.

Its not a 6 arc, but as far as biffers go I love my magnetic buffer. I imagine it would work better in the larger cal 6 arc. Its a little heavier than a standard buffer and alleviates any harshness when the biffer reaches the back of the tube when tuned right. Who doesnt love yet another thing to fiddle f*** around with lol. But it has worked well for me being able to swap uppers and then change its resistance to tune the rifles impulse without changing parts.

But I built the rifle not thinking about it and used just a standard lo pro gas block. Big mistake. Tons of gas in the system. The build is suffering because of it.
