There are some great oatmeal with very little to no sugar. Requires just ten minutes of stove cooking. I bought Quaker Instant Oatmeal to have a healthier diet because of a diabetic scare, but one day I took note of the nutrition label which had 12G of sugar along with the carbs turning to sugar. I thought it would be healthy because it's oatmeal. Since then I've learned more about how to read the nutrition label. Take a look--why aren't daily percentage values for sugar listed? It's on purpose! The average American consumes about 72 grams of sugar per day; that's about 18 teaspoons (1 teaspoon == 4G)! We should be aiming for 28G, or 7 teaspoons. The lesser, the better. Did you know there are at least fifty different sugar names? I'm not a tin foil anti-sugar nutjob, but researching the food industry, pharmas, and corporations of how they take advantage of us is amazing.

In the US, conventionally-grown oats are sprayed with ROUND-UP, just before harvest, to make them dry faster. ROUND-UP is known to cause Non-Hodgkins lymphoma; US courts gmhave already ordered millions in payments. ORGANIC OATS are NOT treated with ROUND-UP, so buying ORGANIC OATS is well-worth the extra cost. I don't know if the EU or other countries allow spraying oats with Round-Up.

Oatmeal will give you diabetes because your saliva immediately transforms it into glucose while you're chewing on it. It will cause glycation in your red blood cells. The nutrients that do exist in oatmeal are inaccessible by the human digestive system which means that you are basically eating sugar which is very bad for your health.

iWinRar I was the same way for years. Start with quakers weight control multi flavor boxes. My fav was maple or cinnamon, they have reduced sugar content by using alternative sweeteners (most others have 10+ g of sugar! ) I also used skim milk or almond milk instead of water (much smoother & creamier) and added a diced Granny Smith apple & extra cinnamon (tasted like apple pie yum). Once your okay with that switch to instant oats with Splenda brown sugar (&vanilla extract if you want). This will be healthier, removes unwanted extra sweeteners and additives so you know what's going into it. Good luck!

"They're delicious." Is anyone gonna tell this guy about ice cream? Seriously, why people claim healthy food is "delicious" I don't know. I'm convinced that they've convinced themselves of it to justify eating it. I'm not saying healthy food can't be nice (although it rarely is), but compare it to _genuinely_ delicious food and there's no comparison. There's a reason so many people eat hamburgers, pizza, ice cream and chocolate.

Hey guys I ate oats everyday for breakfast for about two months. I cook the oats in many different fashion. However, I begin to suffer from severe gas and bloating pain. This is due to the digestive system is not able to break down fiber such as oats in our body but the bacteria in our digestive system breaks down the oats, however these bacteria releases gas when they digest oats...So please eat wisely
