I am in zone 9 southwest FL and able to keep growing tomatoes, peppers & herbs in 90+ temps. Thinking about using shadecloth over the garden to keep on growing all summer. Thanks for all the tips & links Audrey!

Is there a big difference between Zone 9 and Zone 9b? I am in metro Phoenix, Arizona (Gilbert) and zoned 9b. I really enjoyed this video!

Hi I'm so glad! No they are very similar. Zones change by 10-degree Fahrenheit differences in average minimum temperatures. The zones are then broken down again into “a” and “b” zones, which have 5-degree Fahrenheit differences. Zone 9a has minimum temperatures of 20 - 25° Fahrenheit and Zone 9b has minimum winter temperatures of 25 - 30°F.
