Probably because they wouldn't sound like the stereotypical black American. It's a head game and I suspect they wanted to make it harder. Picking a white guy that sounds black, a guy with a mixed family, and a gay guy whose family valued exposing him to other cultures was a smart move. It wouldn't have been entertaining if everybody was obvious. Actually, thinking about it, I wish I listened to the original video before watching it, to play the game myself and test my own preconceptions.

A lot of the shit they asked about wasn't even specific to black people. I've had women clutch their purse and security follow me ever since I was like 13. That's more about being a man than anything racial. Everybody I knew growing up liked Static Shock. Everybody likes anime nowadays. It's common to have hip hop influenced clothes it's just youth culture. The question about movies and the wayans bros was good, it's just weird to stand around a room full of strange men singing theme songs. The hot comb question was the smartest tactic though. Hot Combs and cocoa butter leave most white people flummoxed.

i feel it was obvious who was white. everyone was talking and able to carry a convocation except milk74 and if you listen to everyone talk, milk is the only one that sound white but with a hood accent. but in hindsight, if i was blind folded i probably wouldve got it wrong too

Please, excuse my european opinion. We didn't have the same history and the same "racial" issues (even if there is one race). But looking at your facial expression is the most impressive thing for me. For the little knowlege I have, from the expression of the eyebrows to the posture passing by the positions of the lips, I recognize all that I see (cliché included) of the attitude of an African American (as you say in US). It's impressive and normal at the same time. *Grow up with wolves you will be a wolf.*

Lol I’m white af and honestly all the black people they chose except one guy talking about fashion or whatever sounded extremely white to me as I know white people around me to be. Milk was honestly making them nervous that’s why no one called him out on saying his mom was 50 I think
