Just an update: 219,000 miles and still running! Stays under a car cover and driven 2-3x a week around town. Sputters occasionally when shifting from park to drive.

I love the part where the seat-belt retracts ... oh and THAT IS AWESOME you ended it with a vintage commercial!!!! Best part for me, really summed that all up!

My Grandparents owned a '94 Villager. When my brother and I would stay over at there house my cousins, brother and I would always fight to sit in the third row seat. That van is as old as I am and is still sitting in my Grand parents yard, it hasn't been driven in years.

Great video!!! Still driving our green '95 Villager - identical to yours, including the ticking in the engine when starting! 210,000 mi. Hard to part with, eh?

Thanks for the appreciation! Good news, we still have ours as well, just under 202,000 on the clock. During the filming of this, had a repair bill we couldn't accommodate for. Instead of junking, fixed it ourselves. Nice to know there's others out there :]

Great video! I have a '98 that my family bought brand new. Has 178K and runs like a champ. I would take it cross country ..... but my parents disagree :(

That might actually become a reality this summer. Just hit 190K, however I'm hearing some kind of scratching sound from the front right wheel whenever I drive it over 20 miles consecutively. I really need to give my childhood car one last go before I say goodbye to it forever. When did you buy yours? Mine was bought brand new in May 1998.

SirCavemaninthewest I always wondered why that tip tap tip tap noise is there! Is the only solution replacing the exhaust header since the metal warped or something?

There ain't no Mercury anymore, the Ford Motor Company axed the brand on January 4th 2011.
