Hello Kyle. A lot did happen indeed. Three weeks ago I was hoping I would teach preschool not kindergarten, but it turned out I’m actually teaching 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade!! Definitely a shock for me. Maybe I cried once or two. But going into my second week of remote teaching is pretty good. I am facing new challenges everyday, but I try to do my absolute best. I’m thankful I still have my job because a lot of my colleagues got laid off because the majority of our students changed school, our school is a private school, and enrolled in public schools.

I am loving the channel so far! You are amazing. I did notice three things that I would love links to where you got them from. They were the be the change board, the quotes from leaders, and I’m still trying figure out how you are using the white boards for your learning goals ?

Wow I love your classroom and your positive attitude!! I teach in New Jersey and we are also starting with a hybrid model, 5 half-days a week, and we will be teaching in-person and virtual students at the same time. I'm looking forward to see what kind of activities you do for the hybrid model, to be honest I'm pretty stuck and I think this year I'll just have to learn as I go! Good luck this year!! :)

Really enjoyed your tour. Your space seems very well thought out. Thank you for not just using your boards for decoration but as a teaching tool. Down here in Dayton Ohio we start Monday.....full on. We are only hybrid for the first week.

Wth at my site there will be 12 students and including two staff to supervise each cohort. So in total that will be 14 people in each classroom and the tables given to us are circle tables so it literally leaves no space at all because regardless, if they are 6ft apart from the person across from them, their backs are WAY to close to each other. Should I measure and mention that to my coordinator? I strongly believe our model in our site is definitely not safe.

Thanks for the tour. Flipping the markers and pens around so the tip is facing down will supposedly prolong their useable life. Also, does anyone know why the district went with M/W;T/Th model? (No biggie if you haven't or don't care to find out; we all have bigger fish to fry - I'm just super intrigued.) I'm actually intrigued too that you have two weeks of inservice. Is that standard for where you're from? When I did my student teaching, we had 5 days of inservice - three and a half of which were math and ELA coach meetings and then just a day and a half to get our room ready. Enjoy your weekend.

@@mr.kylecohen I kind of wondered about. We had to learn the Palmer method in second grade. So what method did you learn in school? Thank you in advance for all your clear answers.
