I think the thing that pissed me off most when they traded Rose was that the front office said it was done in an effort to get younger. That’s about the biggest load of crap I’ve heard. If you do a trade that brings you Jose Calderón and then sign Rondo and Wade, you sure as shit ain’t trying to get younger.

Sometimes, when a team runs its course, you’ve got to trade your assets for something. All of these players had many years to take their teams to the top. The Derozan led Raptors, like the Rose-Butler Bulls, had their chances. a team can’t just put the same team out there with the same result, year after year. And when you come up to time for contract extensions in the nine figure range, you have to think long and hard about a multi year commitment to a formula that hasn’t worked.

What do you mean things got worse for Demarcus Cousins? He’s literally playing on the best basketball team in history (On Paper) and he took a pay cut to go play for them, he’s still probably the best centre in the league and at the very least a top 3 center. He’ll be fine, he’ll win his ring and fuck off somewhere else and get paid it’ll be good

DMC can just chill and take his time recovering as part of the GSW and likely get a ring while doing it. They don't really need him to play most of the season to make it.

Demar got traded because in game 3 against the cavs last year with raps down by 1 point with 5 seconds to go, demar got the ball in his spot(10 feet from the basket) and chickened out kicking the ball back to Van Vleet at the perimeter with no time left on the clock. I guarantee that was the moment Masai Ujiri made up his mind that Demar had to go.

As a football/soccer fan it amazes me how organisations can be seen as disloyal and snake like in football the most disloyal a club and its owners can be is refusing to offer a contract to a play cos they think they're too old to play even tho they dont want to retire, it's really intresting as Ive never seen organisations disrespect ones of they're own it's kinda sad actually

Drose wasn’t betrayed. This man basically didn’t play from when he tore his ACL to about 2 or 3 seasons and played sparingly. The bulls used max cap space (like 30%) for a guy who wasn’t playing back when the cap was only 60 million. Keeping him was shooting themselves in the foot. Also, Demarcus cousins wanted out of Sacramento. He caused problems and feuded with most coaches (cancer in the locker room). No one wanted to play with boogie because 1) it was the kings 2) his reputation preceded him. He was the problem and both organizations needed to start fresh because the guys weren’t gonna be the centerpieces of a championship caliber team

The Celtics were smart to get ride of Isaiah Thomas, he was injured and the team was smart to trade him for another superstar. He hasn't done anything since he left Boston. Chicago didn't betray DRose. They were very patient with him and paid him to sit on the bench for years. When they eventually split it was best for both sides.

As a lifelong Celtics fan, Isaiah Thomas wasn't betrayed. First he was up for a contract at the end of the season and he wanted the Max Deal. Secondly his hip was giving him huge problems and the Celtics knew he would probably need surgery. Which he did have! Third, he was part of the trade for Kyrie Irving! Give me a break. He wasn't BETRAYED. Celtics knew his career was done. He's played in only 12 games this past season with a 8 pt. average. Smart move getting rid of Isaiah Thomas!

What about rondo
@SoloSoviet
6 жыл бұрын
theLITYshity I would agree. Rondo got betrayed by the Boston Celtics when they had great pieces to build around their star point guard as they had Avery B, Jeff Green, Kelly O, Smart, & future 1st draft picks from the Nets to help rebuild their roster. The Mavericks treated Rondo horrible and then he regained his confidence with the Kings with Cousins which, was in fact his best season ever overall. Then he gave the Bulls and Pelicans his all doing great in the playoffs which, Bulls Bulter wanted Rondo back and Pelicans Davis wanted him back. I think honestly Rondo will be starting ahead of Ball in Laker land. Because I think James and Rondo is scary together because, both of them can pass and are both triple double machines. Now, you think if, only they had a few other pieces like a center or another star talent. Think of this! I believe Cousins wants a ring however, I believe Cousins may go to the Lakers where they have Rondo. Maybe with Lebron and Rondo they could build a scary team for the next season having Cousins and Kawhi Leonard join their roster.

- Xentoro - Why? When IT can't score he is an all-around liability. He is an average passer at best, can't play defense at all, and definitely can't rebound. Not to mention they have Rozier who is a decent defender at best and has shown to score a lot of points and efficiently as we've seen this off-season.

He was wrong in the statement that they are more unloyal players nowadays in fact they have always been "unloyal" players but back in the day there wasn't that much exposure like Mike went to the Wizards, Scottie went to multiple teams, Shaq became a journey man, Chuck went to different, Wilt has been multiple teams etc, but my point still stands that people weren't always" loyal"
