Most people consider me weird for dressing masculine as a straight cis-gendered female. It’s nice not caring about people opinions.

I struggle all the time with my gender expression and fashion expression. I am naturally more masculine but I have a very large chest. That's so frustrating and it makes every outfit look weird, but this helped me a lot so thank you :)

I totally understand, I have hips which aren’t masculine at all, but sometimes we just have to embrace what we have and not let it get in the way of still having good style. After all, without acceptance and confidence nothing will look right. Im glad I could help, and I will do more videos in the future talking about these types of struggles that we all face.

@@DressedDanielle I think your hips look amazing on you, regardless of masculine/feminine if you know what I mean!! It's your whole outfit and how you compose yourself that really works together. Take anything away and you wouldn't have the same charm that you do now!

Ty for the tips. I really liked the last 2. I have to say I always consider the freedom of clothes to be one persons business. I hate when people judge by the cover. I love dressing up masculine, but I am not bi or homosexual, i am married and having 2 children. The choice is mine so is for other people who chose to live their lives or dress differently for whatever reason!

I try so hard to dress masculine but I can never find any of the pieces that I see popular masculine lesbians wearing. These videos are super helpful! Do you have any winter ideas? It’s cold here at the moment and I’m struggling to find warm and nice looking outfits :(

This was a really good very! So helpful!!. I have 2 questions. 1.) Where is a good place to get good quality chelsea boots( on a college students budget) Im in school but im still trying to look fresh. I've gotten some chelsea boots before but they were good and tore apart within a few wears. 2.) How do you match your watches with your close? Do you wear darker toned watches when you wear darker clothes? Or is it the other way around. Thanks in advance!
@DressedDanielle
3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! And really good questions..1. A good chelsea boot can go a really long way and it’s worth getting a good quality one because they can be worn with literally anything in colder weather so you are going to want one priced in the $100-$200 range, and one that is real leather or suede. So in my opinion, if that price range is too high I would personally look at a pair that maybe was tried on or worn for a little bit and being resold rather than buy a cheap one. So sites like poshmark or eBay are your friend. If you do decide to buy, you have many options if you can fit men’s sizing. What is your women’s shoe size? 2. This is a good video to do because it’s a little difficult to explain thoroughly here, but to try to sum it up...some watches are dressy, some are casual, some can swing either way depending on what outfit it is paired with. So first question to myself is....where in the dressy to casual spectrum am I with the outfit I’m pairing the watch with, and then would be the color, and the accents (silver or gold). Hope that helps!

@@DressedDanielle hello! This was really good advice. I see what you are saying. I do believe a good quality chelsea boot will go a long way. If I do decide to buy a new one, where do you recommend? I am a size 7 in women's shoes. I believe i am a size 5 in men's. 2.) I would love for you to do a video on watches. I have bought a few watches recently. But I bought them because I liked the way they looked. Im not really sure how to tell the difference between dressy and casual watches. So I would love a video like that.
@DressedDanielle

Ok so if you are a size 7 women then you mainly need to buy women’s shoes. I would go with Thursday boots. They have a women’s chelsea boot line called duchess. I’ve seen them in person and tried on the women’s line. I wear a 7.5 in women’s normally but there I was an 8 so their size advice is accurate, if in between sizes or a wider than normal foot, size up. Hint on the watches, if you check my Instagram page (@dresseddanielle) you can look at the outfit I’m wearing (casual and dressy) and then see what watch I put with it to get an idea, but I will do a video for sure. Thanks!

I'm a Large Masculine lesbian. I don't wear jewelry but I will put on hope earrings when I need to. Like for a job Interview. Do you have any suggestions on how I can dress for a job interview where I can dress like myself? But At the same time .Show that I am a woman. I have tried to wear a feminine blouse and it is just not me. Do you think I can get away with wearing a masculine dress shirt and just put on hoop earrings? Thanks.

@DressedDanielle

Honestly a mixture of both, and I would even say more men’s clothing. As an example, in this video there are 20 items I’m wearing (including shoes) - 9 items were from Women’s clothing and 11 were from Men’s clothing.

Love the colors and love your forward approach. The fits are not really masculine to me but I watch your stuff. For me the all of the fits are so snug plus I hate tucking in my shirt. So far I’m living in my 505 Levi’s for women, long sleeve collar cotton button down and shacket both from Target. Got em in every complimenting color. The modern man look doesn’t fatter my body and it’s just too feminine. Maybe it’s the Texas in me. I recently seen “Dog” and the leading actors had some casual fits on that are more my fit. Looking forward to more videos though.

I don't see how a woman could dress like a man I can't do it
@Anonymous-db5kc

It's all about the way you feel inside. If you feel comfortable in the clothes YOU choose to wear, then that's your choice, no one elses. Also, the only way you could understand how a woman can dress in men's clothes, would be if you felt out of place wearing clothes that society expects you to wear. No one should be forced to dress a certain way just to conform to societies idea of how a woman or a man should dress.
@Noa......

Not everyone chooses/likes to conform to gender stereotypes. Dressing masculine should not be equated to dressing like men. In short, gender doesn't dictate what you can wear.

There is no such thing as a black tomboy. If you see a black woman dressed like a man, she's gay. Question, have ever seen a black tomboy in this era, dressed like a dude,but she has a boyfriend? The anwser is no. Years ago, tomboys dressed like guys and dated guys. Now,if you see a woman, especially a black woman, dressed like a guy, she's straight up gay. Now I've met some white tomboys that date men but never have I met a black tomboy that date men. Black Women that dress like men,only date Women.
