lol. Well he also explained that even though a 600 makes more rational sense than a 1000, bikes are about more than just rational sense, they're (for a lot of people, perhaps not everyone) even more about joy and desire and sense be damned. And joy and desire change over time, it fluctuates. Might as well just go with it and enjoy whatever makes you happy at any given time, as long as you can afford it. I wish I could have more bikes and swap bikes more often, but my wallet won't let me right now.

If you respect your machine and gain knowledge and skill and ride accordingly you will be fine. My bike is totally streetable but at the same time I pull over and put it into mode A with launch control on and I'm going 100+ in sub 4 seconds. So take it as you wish, I think my bike sounds insane and feels so much like a 600 as far as being able to flick it around but at the end of the day just dont ride over your head. Not many of us (myself included) get paid to ride fast. So just ride safe and grow with your bike

Why you should buy a 1000cc and not a 600cc bike: Honda is ceasing production of its 600rr and rumor has it that Yamaha, Kawasaki and Suzuki will probably follow suit. The amount of parts to make a 600cc bike and a 1000cc bike is the same...with the later just having larger displacement. Manufacturers can demand more money for a 1000cc bike. 1000cc bikes can make more horsepower than a 600 cc bike. You see where this is going?

I got some friends sitting on 600cc's and they all eat dust, if y can't or don't want to pay the extra for insurance well your choice, but why say it is better than, I am on neither not a 600 or a 1000, I am on a K1300S and love my bike the rest does just need to long to pull, I can go on it all day and love it, letting the others eating dust, speed limits well look at it and ignore as long no one is endangered, why would we be on bikes with the possibilities to open up...

Most riders will have both at one point. Best to try a little bit of everything and see what you like best.

The 600cc are lighter easier to control and are a good size bike... but I might buy a R1 because it’s got the power and the speed tho... but the R6 is a nice looking bike but it ain’t as powerful. I could just buy a R6 and upgrade it.
