if we're thinking about it logically, not every dream is the same, so that could mean a multiverse? and in each dream you almost always feel different, and different things happen around you. most things can't even be explained with our universe's laws, but they aren't improbable, which makes them possible if there was another universe that makes them possible. it's my belief that when we sleep, we are experiencing the memories of ourselves from a parallel universe, because certainly it can't be our memories. having a dream about a game you've been playing, where the monsters are real? in a parallel universe maybe the monsters are real, and while we play the game, our parallel selves live the game.

Dam my dreams are like fictional stories... I go to the most amazing places than... Only once so far i have been in a "bad" one since a mysterious man was stalking me but stopped when i reached the ledge of a castle or bridge-but it was more of castle than a bridge-but then as i turned back to lool at him i saw that he was still coming after me, slowly, as if he were mocking me i then felt that no matter what he shall never get me alive so after a bit of contemplation in my mind i jumped of the ledge into the river that was around two stories below ... As soon as i hit the water i woke up from the nightmare/dream to a full moon, my body was slightly shaken and my heart was pounding but i calmed down as soon as i remembered that I was in my own room

I was taught that too, but think about it. It doesn't really make any sense, because you can yawn while breathing out as well. You don't actually have to breathe in to yawn, so you wouldn't always be taking any oxygen into the brain or any part of your body. The theory just isn't consistent.

sleep is important for multiple reasons... It's "automatic meditation" our body's are like batteries filled with energy during sleep we are reconnecting to our spiritual life. This is why some people don't dream often because they've lost touch of their spirituality. Also sleep is a time when you can go to other universes you can meet your higher self and get away from all your problems that you face in your awaken life "sleep is the best thing ever" 😋

My theory for the blushing thing could be a colour defence mechanism like some reptiles. We're embarrassed so feel threatened and therefore flush out checks with blood to appear threatening.
@lordmoneybags3043
8 жыл бұрын
+Prince Fancybum We do know what blushing does. It's a way of regulating body heat, or thermoregulation if you wish to call it that. Simply we blush because the our red blood cells and veins are closer to the surface of our skin to cool us, since blood is fairly hot and the energy our heart is generating is causing it to be a bit too hot. Embarrassing ourselves or telling a lie causes our brain to have an activity spike due to us panicking (or some form of similar response). This increase in electrical activity causes us to breathe faster and makes our heart pump faster to circulate oxygen as your now, most likely, trying to figure out an excuse, which requires us to have oxygen (and sugar) present in our brain. This generating kinetic heat energy, we then blush simply because the blood that was being pumped by our heart is now closer to the surface of our skin due to it needing to cool to a lower temperature, thus causing us to be able to see the colour of our blood through our skin. Google Thermoregulation, it may explain it better than I did.

I totally dig science. I'm a fairly open minded fella. Thing is, can anyone tell me if they've pinpointed the moment we started thinking science was ever intended to say why something happens? All science does, all it will ever do, is observe and describe what happens, and then make predictions based on what it observed. Rinse, wash, and repeat as needed 😉 I used to think science told the why, at least what once passed thinking. I used to think I was so f@cking smart! Turns out I knew less than Jon Snow. In a way knowing you can never really know anything, is the only thing you can ever really know. You can't escape polarity, natural law is always working the room.I'd like science to explain why we, "know" anything. To know anything for sure, is knowing everything for sure. In fact for something to be correct, the possibility must exist that it is incorrect. Maybe when we think of yin and yang we forget about the contrasting dots within each color. It's Hide & Seek☮❤️✨

Good comment in general, except for this one sentence: "In fact for something to be correct, the possibility must exist that it is incorrect." This is complete nonsense. 1+1=2 is correct not because it could also be incorrect, but because it could not. Statements in math, about language, within definitions, can all be certainly correct or incorrect. Just all judgments regarding the physical reality are subject to essential uncertainty.
@Mar184
8 жыл бұрын
Actually, "To know anything for sure, is knowing everything for sure." is flawed as well. That is making an unjustified claim on the fundamental nature of physical reality, which you just before validly claimed to not have any insight on.

From a respiratory point of view, I believe yawning is the body's response to increased levels of C02 or high PC02. Also decreased levels of 02 or P02. Yawning is basically a forced sigh. When you sigh you double or triple your tidal volume therefore, helping to prevent atelectasis or collapsing of the tiny air sacs in your lungs. So, yawning opens up your air sacs increasing pulmonary performance put simply. Which is probably why we do this in the morning after several long hours of lower tidal volumes.

yawning is actually the body's way of releasing excess carbon dioxide from the lungs and taking in more oxygen. in other words, a larger version of breathing
@GeneralGanky
8 жыл бұрын
and the contagiousness is probably from on person releasing that carbon dioxide which then travels to multiple mouths surrounding that person thus causing a domino like effect

@ImperialGaming

+RFTube its actually from where people yawy sometimes if there isnt as much oxygen in the air so then if it tricks your mind into yawning to incase you arnt getting enough oxygen

@sky1arks995

+Mindless being someone who sings a lot you don't breath much and yawn a lot and i agree with it being a bigger version of breathing. people yawn when their tired because (i think) their body shuts down and their breathing slows, so body signals say there isn't enough oxygen going through the lungs. as to why it's contagious? i think it's just genetically contagious. most people when they look at others doing stuff (e.g. drinking water) realize they might also be thirsty and have some water. same thing with yawning, subconscious mimicking safety measure.

I think I can sort of understand the placebo effect. So, if you think you should move your fingers, you can do it. So, if you think you should heal, you will heal. For example, some people can meditate to raise their body temperature. Also meditating can make you feel calmer, that's because you will yourself to be calmer. Think about it.

I think the 'hip-nick-jerk' happens because of the other unexplained phenomena known as gravity. When we're sleep, our bodies are made to lay supine (or flat) not upright, so while we're sleeping, we subconsciously can't hold our balance. Being in a seated position allows us to relax enough to fall asleep (or be tired enough - I once fell asleep for like 3 sec standing upright) anyway, being in a seated position allows us to relax enough but your conscience is trying to maintain the "awake" position while your body is going into sleep mode, so basically we're watching a struggle..............The Placebo affect is from simple 'mind over matter' theory. No matter what method is used it is just the stated fact, we only use a small percentage of our brains so whether it's known or not we inevitably can mentally heal but the 'Placebo affect' triggers this effect.

I think maybe yawning comes from the lack of breathing,do you ever notice how the more tired you get the more your breath slows down,well maybe your body gets used to that and yawning is a way of taking in more air.Or it's the brains way of telling you that you need to sleep considering the fact that I'm the time of the hunter gatherers we had no concept of time,and maybe it's contagious because in that time it could have been a way of telling a whole group of hunter gatherers they need rest.

For the first one, I also heard that when you jolt like that in your sleep as if you are falling is because your heart rate slows down too fast so the brain thinks you're dying so it sends messages throughout your body to wake the nerves or whatever. Could this be true?
@alexanderfeitner9048
8 жыл бұрын
My theory on sleep is that sleep stores adrenaline, and does not use it, stopping you from having conciseness while sleeping. And that would also explain dreams, a dream happens when a sudden burst of that stored adrenaline causes a thought, but not full concise to a persons awaking.

It's funny when the placebo affect is mentioned to me now because I have the opposite, called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CPRS). My ankle was injured in September 2014, I was misdiagnosed twice, I went to physical therapy for a misdiagnosis, I went through a multitude amount of casts and boots, had surgery making me wear a cast then a boot then a brace, and I still have pain nearly due to my mind set that "I'm not getting better and I doubt I will anytime soon"

The first one is called a Myoclonic jerk. It is not a misfire but rather quite a targeted one. When you are falling asleep (especially when you're really tired) various parts of your body decrease in function. Sleeping doesn't require as much functionality of the organs as when you are awake. So, when this (hear slows down, breaths get deeper, limbic musles losen up, etc.) happens, your brain interprets it as dying. So, it sends a powerful surge to your lower body to attempt to keep it "alive." The myoclonic jerk does, but rarely, occur more than once at a time (mostly, not more than once a day). It is essentially your brain's attempt to keep your body up and alert
