what i have noticed with older cars is that for them to really warm up and start warming up the interior they need a long drive(50 to 100 miles). my guess is the cast iron engine block really warms up and heat soaks so the coolant stops losing heat to the block. some oldtimers here even modded their cooling system that on really cold mornings they would turn a tap and the only radiator in the system would be the heater core aka the small loop only cooling.

That is one big triangle of doom with those wipers, lol.

Just a little hint, you disassemble the wiper box and clean out the old goo. I found a tube of "door ease" is a good replacement lubricant. In addition, I run an 8 volt battery, so I'm actually getting 6 volts to the starter in some of my old cars, you just need to adjust your voltage regulator points to increase the charge voltage a little. I'm sure you already know all this stuff and I enjoy your channel.

Always struck me how stark/utilitarian the dashboards of the Nash Ramblers were. All the knobs and toggles you needed without any gingerbread. Beautiful little gem of a car!

My first truck with a 1950 Dodge and it had vacuum wipers I took the wiper motor apart cleaned and lubed it lubricated the shafts that go through the cowl and put wipers that weren't as long as the originals and it worked quite a bit better. Nothing like Electric but the biggest thing was putting a little shorter wiper blades on the less friction really helped. Then I learned about rainx that changed everything!

That is such a nice car. Maybe you can plum in a vacuum reservoir before the wipers to even out the performance while accelerating as well as refurbish the wiper motor. Love that car.

We have 4 cars with 6 volt systems. They turn over like crazy. Bad ground and wrong size cables. Fan is not one speed it's fast at the left slower as turned to the right. Wiper motor is gummy inside with old grease.

Have you considered doing a 6 volt conversion on a GM 1 wire alternator? Paul Shinn has done a KZitem video about this quite recently, he is big into the Model A Ford.

Long shot. Find out if a fuel pump with with a vacuum take off is available. It would provide a consistent vacuum source.

one can stop the windows from fogging just stop breathing better idea get a longer belt and add a small alternator keep the 6 volt for the car or use brighter 12 vole lights short term the 6 volt starter will work on 12 volt the ignition system is so much better on 12 volt yes need to keep the water-pump generator
