Max is one of the first guys I've seen with my body type. Lean and tall. I definitely enjoy seeing his technique!

One of my favorite ways to open up the body cross is doing it after a set-up that also flows into my rear overhand. So, like, come out and show double jab>overhand or jab>lead hook>overhand once or twice to get them expecting it, then catch them with the body cross when they start to anticipate/counter 🙂

3:00 this first one from Ethan is my go-to, it's gold. But you cannot do it more than once, MAYBE twice.

Amazing these guys are high level. They can clearly explain and teach their techniques. Please have Max more on the channel if you can since he is a south paw. There's much to learn from.

The last one is my favorite too! I like to use it as the opposite of my check hook. Baiting them to come forward so I can step off and land the rear hand ( jab hand before switching) as I change the angle.

I love high jab low cross high hook. It's so basic but so hard to defend all 3 punches

Yes. You have to have solid defense to deal with that combo.

If we're both in orthodox stance, I like doing a stiff jab to my opponent's lead shoulder to shove them off to that side, half- step to my left and then rear straight right into the diaphram. If my opponent is loosened up, their upper body will twist and compromise balance. If they're stiff, then I use that to aid my own repositioning to get a straight line from my right to their middle.

Quick question. Do you throw the punch at a downward angle, or do you bend your knees and throw it horizontally?
@redsnflr
Жыл бұрын
in boxing it's taught to bend first and then throw when your fist is level with the body target, helps you to see an uppercut that might be coming as you dip down(most vulnerable punch counter), if you throw as you dip you're going straight into the uppercut(should slip your head to the side when throwing regardless).

Love those technique videos we can learn something from. Liked the first one most. Btw cross to body is a GREAT counter to overhand punches (either side). If someone just throws overhands wait for it and as soon you see them winding up and their hand leaving their body throw a bodycross to intercept it. Stepping into the overhand as they throw doubles the impact plus you evade their shot by lowering the head and jamming their overhand punch. Stepping back does often not work to evade backwards as overhand is a very long reach and it still can reach you. I got that from this video: kzitem.info/news/bejne/q2etlmSDaWecgnY
