Beautiful Rick My younger son just picked up a cruddy one in what looks in pictures to be otherwise decent condition in an antique shop for $10 yesterday and I will help him clean it up He also snagged a 70s era Girl Scout Knife in similar condition for $10 so fun fun Stay well And keep the good stuff coming Thanks and God bless

lol..I was just rooting for my home team on this one - no disrespect to the great knife makers around the world, but Camillus has always been known as a leader in the sturdy, long lasting knife catagory. (scout knives, GI utility knives etc.). TEW has their place in Knife making history, a very, very stellar place I might add!😊 Take Care My Friend 👍

Thanks Vinnie! These are the knives I like to collect most. A 50+ yr old, solid user that's inexpensive, with tons of history behind the maker. (Not that I don't love a shiny new knife too!)

I carried my Camillus cub scout knife for 5 years & then lost it, so my dad bought me a brand new Ebony wood Hammer Brand equal end cigar jack (which is on my list) when I was 12, unfortunately I lost it when we went camping one wknd a couple years later.😞 This knife brings back that era for me. Thanks for the great comments Vinnie...I love reading everyone's input & experience's!👍

@@Warthogg1 I grew up with Sheffield steel knives. Like you I lost them, many of them, down through the years. Hanging upside down from trees, leaving them on the ground when I was doing stuff. Also my everyday trousers would be "well worn" (those were the days of hand me downs) and you would often get a hole in your pocket. Then the supply of Sheffield Steel knives dried up, years ago. The companies closed I presume. I decided to get myself a "good" knife a while back. The problem was I knew nothing about American knives which seemed to be where good traditional folders were still being made. That is where my channel came from.

I have a model 51 that looks a lot like that one. Mine only has two pins and the bolster is plain. From the tang stamp chart it is from later 70's into 80's . I got it new in the middle 80's and it has never been used or carried.

Keep good care of it...In my 2-3 yr search I have seen only 1 other like yours & the one I purchased was the first I've seen since I was in my 20's! lol People hold on to their good Camillus knives till death😬 There are a lot of the cheaper Camco 551's out there.

I have a Camillus Barlow from the 80s. It has the half open stop and lanyard loop. My scales look like bone but I think they are plastic.

Wow the Camillus is a brute! Made to work for a living. What was the large trapper on the block? I have a similar knife but with an end cap, an Utica Kutmaster Hog Buster, it has a drop point with a liner lock and a huge spay blade. I like the jumbo trappers for general work.

That is a Camillus "Yello Jaket" Double Lockback Trapper! lol... there is a separate lockback for each blade...It is one of my favorite heavy duty beaters. Does anyone remember the old tiny knives that you could get out of a bubblegum machine back in the late 60s or early 70s ? I been looking for one to add to my collection. Anyway thanks for sharing and happy Thanksgiving from Kentucky land between the lakes. 2020
