This is the first realistic wood splitting video I’ve seen. Normal wood with knots and you have to start with a wedge.

It was a right of passage in Southeastern NC to swing 1 of those red axes 😉 Pops got me 1 35 years ago when I was 12, It's still busting wood and has never been rehung 💪

Put a large bungee cord on a chain around the log you are splitting! The give of the cord allows the axe to split the wood but keeps all the pieces contained so they dont fly everywhere! Dont have to pick anything up, just keep swinging!

Hey friend, I use a fiskers splitting axe and they work great, when I use an axe, but I've learned that it is very high impact on your body, so I bought a gas powered hydrolic splitter and would recommend the same for you, have a great day
