Hi Michael, I found this room on www.spareroom.co.uk/, I thought the research tools were very good as you can such by distance from a certain station, along a certain lines, and not just by zones or neighborhood. That's where I found all the flats I visited, including the one I ended up taking, but you have to be really reactive and watch over listings a few times a day so you can be in the first people to visit. Good luck with your search !

BORRIS JOHNSON ruined Renting scheme by introducing (affordable rent) which is double the price of social rent. How do you manage to call something twice the price affordable. I call it (BORRIS RENT) so people relate better to it.

Haha, yeah London is wonderful but rent is an aberration, it's really bad ... Honestly so thankful for neighborhood like Walthamstow for still being affordable. And glad you got a nicer place for yourself !!

How do you navigate sharing a bathroom ?
@claraontheroad3049
2 жыл бұрын
So it was an odd situation in that house because no one would talk to one another haha. So there was no defined bathroom arrangements, really I just used it when I wanted, if it was busy I would come back later. And I kept my basic toiletries in my room and would take them to the bathroom when needed because there really wasn't much space left by the time I moved in

Hi Clara great video. I am wanting to move to London and was wondering if you had a job there before you moved to London? Or not? As I've noticed that so many houses with rooms to rent don't except people without a job on benefits. Thank you :) Natalie

Hi, thank you! I did, I found an internship before I arrived, and I told the landlords of flats I visited I had one. Though in all honesty, they never asked for any type of proof...

Can two people share a room?
@claraontheroad3049
4 жыл бұрын
Well, there are some rooms to rent that are for two people with bunk beds or such though they're quite rare, then you have regular rooms that you can ask the landlord or agency if they're okay for two people. Lots of places are okay with two people sharing a room !
