I bought pairs of these after this video and I would like to say these are totally underrated speakers. Very transparent and low frequency performance insanely good overall delivery perfect for the money. I’ve another Infinity beta 20 which is very neutral to this. These are playing very big for the low budget. Thanks for your all inputs against these Primus 250. I hope you will review Energy Cf30 or CF50

They are much better than most Infinity's at this price range. I'm usually not an Infinity fan, but these surprised me too. Would love to review the Energy's but they'd have to just come to me somehow. The speakers you see here are all speakers I find cheap at thrift shops, or that I borrow from friends. My own speakers are Martin Logan Source and Tannoy SRM10B, so most of what I review here doesn't stay. That said, there are a few speakers that I keep because I like them so much. The Acoustic Research ar4ax, the Wharfedale Diamond III, the Boston Acoustics A25 and the IMF Compact II. I also used to keep a pair of Tannoy R2 (speaking of underrated speakers!) but those were too large to have standing around. All of the others are in a rack in my attic, alongside a pair of small Sansui speakers I use for testing, and a pair of Wharfedale Active Diamond because they are cool. Here's a fun one; The Edifier R1700BT. They are super cheap modern active speakers and as long as you don't use their bluetooth functionality, they are stupidly good for the money. Will do a video on them soon!

@@rollingtroll I’ve BA 26 as well which is playing like a tower speaker, sounds crisp and very open basses are very tight. These are hard to found in my place, so for that reason even I have trouble with finding space to put them, I never think about to sell them. Their stages are unbelievable for low budget of money due to being Karl Heinz Fink design I guess. 2 bookshelf speakers that I do not want resell are Dali Ikon 1 Mk2 and BA 26. I have checked the video that you’ve reviewed the A25s which are quite similar to mine a26s, but transperancy is better than a26s. I know it’s hard to compare without real life example but it seems so.

So, I bought the A26 even though i was told to buy the A25. And when I got home I was disappointed. Sold them, bought the A25. Day and night. Grab a pair, the A25 is the one to have (the A23 is, unfortunately, also not better :D). If you like the A26, the A25 is going to absolutely blow you away. Even the low end is better :D.

To me these sound very present.....I like these. 3 way has good sound profile. Probably sound better a good 14-16 inches off the wall.

Any speaker sounds better off the wall. Technically this is not a 3-way though, both woofers do the same :).

The best song to my ears, starts at 6:22 minutes. Maybe I will buy a pair Infinty P162 bookshelf. I wass thinking about Klipsch Rb 61, but I'm afraid they'll scream a lot, be too strident.

Klipsch is generally less aggressive sounding than Infinity. Although it also depends a lot on what Amplifier you put in front of it. If you got something like a Rotel, Onkyo or Yamaha, it will tend to be quite aggressive. Or, even worse, a Sony or so. If you have something a little smoother sounding like NAD, Cambridge, Audiolab, Arcam, most speakers won't be too aggressive. Generally though, Infinity is less 'well rounded' sounding than Klipsch, especially at this price range. If you are afraid of buying something aggressive though, why not get a pair of Tannoy M2 or Wharfedale Diamond III? Or perhaps the Boston Acoustics A25. All very pleasant, smooth sounding speakers without a hint of aggression. You can find the Boston and the Wharfedale in my 'speakers speaking for themselves' playlist, so you can compare for yourself. Should you go through that list, don't take the video of the Klipsch RF10 speakers as a reference. I heard many a Klipsch in my life and never found any that were THAT bad. Not sure what Klipsch was thinking with that model.

Interesting, i always prefer fluor standing speakers, and 3 way over 2 way

Oh no, definirely 2-way over 3-way without many exceptions here. It's just way harder to get a 3 way right. More going on in the cabinet, more filtering components, more crossover frequencies. As for floorstanding or standmount; That really depends on the size of your listening space and the acoustics there. That said, a slightly too big woofer in a slightly too small cabinet can still sound nice, a too small woofer in a too big cabinet is always a sloppy mess, which is probably why on average a bookshelf/standmount is a bit less offensive to me.

Come to think of it; I don't own any speakers that are not 2-way myself, now. The only exception is the little full range Sansui ones that are in one of these videos :D. My main listening speakers are Tannoy SRM10B and Martin Logan Source, both 2-way, and my 'too good to let go' speakers are the Wharfedale Diamond III, IMF Compact II, Boston Acoustics A25, Acoustic Research Ar4ax and those Sansui's. Have to be honest here; Tannoy R2, Acoustic Research AR2xa and Wharfedale Dovedale were also a part of this list but they just took up too much space for stuff I didn't regularly use, so I did have some 3-ways I liked.

They make one-note bass like a bad car subwoofer.

Nah they don't, I wouldn't like them then. Compare them to the Bose speakers I tested if you want one note bass :D.
