Got to meet Gary backstage at a 2019 Show out here in Southern California. He extended a very warm & friendly handshake to me. I was wear’n an old SHOWCO shirt, and Gary placed his hand on my chest, right on the SHOWCO logo and said: That’s Sum Good Stuff Right Thar ~ I Was Blown Away ..! God Bless SKYNYRD 🕊

I'd heard a story of when it was Leon's turn to stay out at Hell House. The way I remember it told, it was getting on to sunset and a gator had come out of the water and was making its way up the path. Leon had taken either a brick or a rock, hit the gator in the snout, and it turned and crawled back into the river. I don't know if Craig's heard that story or not. Excellent podcast! Craig gave a heartfelt tribute to his friend Gary, then the road trip with Griff and Steve was amazing. Great job guys!

Lol at right around 31:15 which is the very moment TSR said that people are probably gonna want to rewind and go over what Craig just said, I was in the process of hitting the rewind button myself to find out the exact show date of the show he was referring to that had the audio of Allen Collins playing the original Firebird, so I can find it and listen to it - which turns out to be April 6, 1976. So I’ll be checking that out. And also man Craig can play some serious drums …

A guy name Adam Hartle bought the Hell House lot two years ago and his plan was to never build on that lot. Sadly and unfortunately Adam Hartle passed away suddenly on November 30th 2022 of a heart attack at 43. Hopefully he had it in writing to never sell that lot or build on it.

You da man, Craig Reed. GR & AC seemed to me took no bullshit & any phony type wouldn't ever even gotten close to either, let alone, "tight." Your, " ...hole in my heart" says all needs saying. Trust now AC & GR past the trouble that caused the ... trouble, together again forever.. If I may speak for all us this channel - you ARE a direct - & irreplaceable - part of Lynyrd Skynyrd; so t/y/v/m & keep these SRs comin'.

Well Gary thought the band should continue. He was supposed to play at the Strawberry festival with Rickey and Johnny. The music is still in a lot of people who loved the original band. Skynyrd Nation is all the fans who still want to hear the music and think tributes are a good way to keep the music alive.
