Nicely done. Don't you need to do some spot welding in some areas around the flanges to completely attach the skin ?

You need a few but that will be done during the final body work stage as being able to twist the door makes alignment to the car much easier.

How are you? I've been following your videos and I'm studying it because I want to start restoring my 65. Since I'm on the other side of the world and buying sheetmetal is slow and expensive, I want to make sure which parts to buy. I understand that everything you put in, did you choose Dynacorn, or has something from Goodmark brand helped you? Thanks in advance for the info you can give me, but above all for the information shared in these videos.

I'm dong well. Dynacorn is a middle man for steel. Much of their metal is made by MusclecarGT which is a large sheet metal stamping company in Taiwan. Many years ago Goodmark made high quality parts but today their Mustang parts are not the best on the market. Feel free to send me an email with any questions. theinfernalcraftsman @ gmail. I have looked at mustang parts suppliers websites over in europe and yeah they are very expensive. Often twice or more what they are here in the US. When we go to Greece I'm always stopping into car parts stores and tool stores...

@@theinfernalcraftsman I´m from Argentina. I thought about buying from NPD in Florida (ithink the direct place to buy), they seem to have the best prices (maybe I´m wrong), I just need to check what brand the parts they sell are. The other option was CJ PP but they make shipping very expensive (2k bucks of shipping costs). Soon I will send you an email telling you a little more about this matter. Again, thanks for your reply.

@@marianopeql9127 NPD is a great parts supplier. They do their best to source the best reproduction parts regardless of brand as they buy directly from the manufacturer in most cases instead of a third party reseller. They are also the best for shipping overseas as well. They often have two grades of parts in some cases it doesn't matter. Unfortunately I don't think I can fit sheet metal parts in my checked luggage and get it to BA though... I have bought allot from CJ in the past but you really have to know what parts they are carrying as some are fine some aren't and it takes experience and info from others to figure it out.

Yup here you go. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BLSP8JV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title I am on my second box and by the time I am done I think I will end up using around 4 maybe 5 boxes but I like to coat everything. It is identical to the Killmat but it was a good bit cheaper than killmat when I bought it. Now only a couple dollars different.

@@justinagius2430 No problem. FYI I linked the thickest material of that type that they sell. There are thinner versions that are cheaper but I prefer the thick stuff.

Can you put more than one layer of sound deadening? I was just wondering how quiet can you actually make the car for a more modern feel.
@theinfernalcraftsman

Yes you can. The dead ends will stick to itself just as well as it does to the car. I will be putting in more than one layer on the firewall. But it wont be twice as good. Lots of Science to absorbing sound so there are dense materials and then foams etc. There are some heavy vinyl based ones that work great for floor pans. There is also a product that has two different densities of foam with a layer of lead sheet in between. Great stuff but expensive.

That was filmed with a camera that I didn't have for long. It was pretty buggy and coupled with how youtube changes audio levels when they recode it for their servers it's hit or miss sometimes. I am using a different camera now and not really happy with it but it's what I have and I would like to replace my current rig at some point.
