Yes that's great advice. You know what they say: measure twice, cut once. So I'll do just that. Once I have the means I'll get the the front end done right. I'm really looking forward to having my rig look, ride and perform just like yours.

That's a sick ride. Its great to see the 67-72 F100 getting attention. My brother and I have been into these trucks since the early '80s. We had the only low f100 around back then. It was even lower that c10s and on the factory suspension.

Awesome truck man. Awesome to see sweet trucks out Canada too!! I've got a 76 F250 I'm doing a mild build this year on as I'm doing a few big ticket items on my 55 Buick that need done. Mine was a ranch truck in the BC interior for the first 39 yrs of its life. Now she's mine and I'm going similar to what you e done with yours.

glad to see you went with a Ford drive train instead of putting a GM engine in the truck. nothing pisses me off more than when someone builds a Ford or a Dodge and puts a GM crate engine in it. if you're gonna build a Ford keep it all Ford. if you're gonna build a Dodge keep it all Dodge. if you're gonna build a Chevy keep it all Chevy

Frank awesome rig . I am working on a '70 fleet side short bed. I cut the front coils (one full coil) to drop the front but now I have terrible negative camber!? what do you suggest I do. I'm on a tight budget so I can't afford a CV or mustang II install. if I install drop I beams can I retain my cut coils? Your rig looks awesome. Sits just right! Thanks for your input in advance. Great work.

Thank You! I would really recommend saving enough money for the CV swap, its absolutely worth it. But, with drop I beams and cut springs you're still going to have alignment issues. Hope that helps, nice truck man!

Me again, with more questions. I hear you say you used the crown vic rear. Were there any fitment issues with it? It looks like the rear fenders were trimmed. Did you have to fab the mounts onto it? Last, at least for today; did you have to channel the frame for the rear end to fit with the flip?
@FrankWiebe
8 жыл бұрын
The crown vic rear end is really wide. I removed all the old brackets from the crown vic rear end and fabricated some new spring perches and shock mounts. I only rolled the rear fenders and that just barely clears the wheels. I did channel the frame by 2 inches.

Sweet ride! Just inherited a '69 250 and I'll be bringing it home in a couple months. It's a long bed and I'm no hurry no cut it down, but I've looked into it. How much is taken out of the frame and the box? I've seen a lot of conversions, but no actual measurements to get it right.
