I'm suprised that such a good and informative video only has 1,6k views, I really like these Basics series and I've learn a lot about power supplies from here.

I'm liking this series because I get to lust after your HP 427A. Wish I could find one in good shape. Thanks, great theory lessons.

Love your videos, but I wish you would keep them dumbed down through the whole video...for people like me. Like you said, we need to use a comparator in the first video, but didn't hook it up. And then you show a 555 timer in your second video. On your handwritten schematic, you show a 555, but then show using a 555 circuit with a MOSFET...without explaining anything(ie. how to set the 555 circuit, what's the MOSFET used for, etc.). You never even said what size the capacitor was in the first video. I would like to build a buck booster/converter, but some people like me, need to be led by the hand a little more. Lol. I know you probably have covered this in tons of other videos...and like you said you have a wide audience base. Ignore this comment...and thank you for your videos. My AARL handbook from ebay is on the way!
