Do you have specs that you can share with the sim community? Type of motors used, drawings, etc. Your rig is probably one of the best that I've seen. Very neat and would very much like to build one similar to yours.

Great stuff! A little bit too much vibration in those outer monitors. If only there was some sort of virtual reality visor available, oh wait... Got my Rift on order, going to build one of these. THE DREAM IS REAL

+daymobrown The vibration might seem like a lot, it's actually not. They are very stable. But thanks for the kind words!! Good luck with your build!! I had the Rift but prefer the monitors. My preference. :-)

I had a suspicion that might be the case. I would try and get your hands on one of the consumer versions of the rift, a much more emersive experience. Very neat and tidy by the way.

You did a solid job! Nice work. What motors and inverters and how are they controlled? Thanks
@mrsimulator9844

+dbnstrikeman The motors are 1hp Ironhorse 3 phase, with 60:1 matching gear boxes. The inverters are Hitachi WJ200 and they are controlled by the Thanos AMC1280USB board. I use bff software to run it all.

Hi, could you share some more the motor infomration? like Gear box RPM, torque of the motor? I'm planning my 6DOF project based on DC motor, now I'm think how much power I should consider the motor and what RPM of the gearbox.

The rod ends are refered to as rose joints Bravo sir :) I'm looking into building one of these, I was wondering what the height of you room is there bud. Or whats the max height that your platform runs, I will be using vr so no screens attached. Kindest regards, John

They are referred to heim joints in the US and rose joints in the UK. Just for clarification.

Can you please tell me of what material is the plate that holds the seat and the rest of the rig?
@mrsimulator9844

There is a steel frame constructed of 1" material. The top mounting of the six Heim joints is part of the steel frame. I have a 1/2" sheet of Birch plywood covered with a black laminate to finish the look and give me a solid surface to mount my racing seat set-up.
