Pretty good for rehabbing a broken bone. I fractured my elbow a while back and just got into rebuilding the strength again. I started taking a collagen supplement at the beginning and I feel like it’s helped.

Nice content. Thanks Thomas. Of special interest to me: 8:33 ... I don't do protein shakes. Instead, I normally have a 12 oz bone broth with 2 scoops of collagen post workout and have noticed I'm not sore after a full day of intense hilly terrain hiking. Not coincidentally, on days I don't have the broth with collagen I've noticed it takes me longer to recover.

Doesn't taste of anything, I put one scoop in a glass of diluted juice. My Hair is thicker and and longer after 3 trims in 6 months but your nails grow faster and stronger as well :-)

At 52, better late than never starting collagen, right? I'm beginning keto again (50lbs overweight)... Please wish me luck. I've failed so many times because I think my liver was fatty and my fats were too high. So this time I'm going to tweak it and not give up. Have you added intermittent fasting to Keto? For some people, IF causes weight loss better than Keto. If you're having trouble you may need to do longer fasts, like one meal a day (OMAD).

Hi Thomas, I’ve been taking Collagen, but just read an article and the author was saying that Type 1 & 3 is just a waste of money and Type 2 is the only one that may help. ONLY Collagen Type 2 is Joint specific. People that promote Multi-Collagen products don't seem to understand this. There are different types of Collagen Type 2: Hydrolized, Bio-Cell and Undenatured. all three of these combined with Hyaluronic Acid relieve joint discomfort. Why didn't you mention the importance of Collagen Type 2 for joints?

I have been using collagen now daily for the last 3 weeks now in my morning coffee. I feel much better and my husband has noticed greater stability and strength. Also, I have been giving it to my partially crippled puggle, who is 10 plus years old. I was told that he would live no longer than 6 months. A vast improvement for him. I've been giving it to him for at least 2 months now. He's able to walk fast and get n and out of the house now without being carried. I am so grateful.

I am 37 and have been taking collagen supplements for almost four months and although I had pretty good skin before, now it's baby smooth(I've gotten more compliments), also noticed the difference in my hair/eyebrows and less popping from my right knee. What I drink is : ORGANIKA "Full Spectrum " Collagen Type 1,2,3 Before that I drink "just" collagen and I did not have any results.. This 1 2 3 is different. Sometimes you have to wait 5 months to see any positive changes, I achieved it after 3 months..but, also completely changed my diet, which certainly helped to keep my hair from falling out...And one more thing I start to rub in my scalp is NEEM Oil...🙈 suppose to help, but I just start and is to early to say that it help...CHeck this info about this oil on You Tube. Started running in an attempt to get my mile time down to 7 mins. Old football knee injury started flaring up big-time was in a lot of pain and couldn't kneel down. Took beef collagen peptides 20 grams per day and within 4 days my knee was feeling 90 percent better. And within 2 weeks it was back to normal!

I started collagen peptides just two weeks ago and am already seeing new hair growth and skin changes! Even my eyelashes are growing lol I wish I knew about this a year ago when I started Keto. My mother died from Alzheimer’s complications but I believe hers was brought on by statin drugs 😢. I wish I’d have known about this way back then too. I’d have supplemented her diet with collagen. 31 year old man here. I started with retinol lowest dose for around eyes and forehead, and after 6 weeks the wrinkles around eyes are less visable and the skin is clear and smoother. I'm usually very sceptical. So I then tried marine collagen. After 5 weeks of 10g a day this combination I look 3-4 years younger around the eyes and forehead. I also wear suncream every day. Thank you for helpful advice. Would love a video on making or showing your favorite bone broth recipe! Never had any. I have osteoarthritis and degenerative disc disease along with a herniated disc. Just starting keto diet. Appreciate the scientific research findings to back up what you're saying.

Thomas, vid idea after watching this if your interested😃👍- What Veggies are best consumed raw, slightly cooked, and cooked well? Im sure this matters on many bio levels. Prebiotics, to nutrients.😃 Thanks man. Great vid btw ☝ I have real issues with my bones at my age. Bone broth has been pretty much my only way of getting collagen. Thank you again😊👍

Yes, good idea, different veggies are better assimilated and digested when either cooked or raw. I'd be interested in a video about that.

I must say as a 60 year old weight lifter, I had been taking collagen for some time and my tendon health went up ...then I ran out and being overseas took some time to get some more, during this time it seemed that my tendons were showing more strain,but no injury, just get feel them more during lifting. Now that I am several days back into taking it again, the stress has gone down 👍....Just saying💪

I work in a very physically demanding environment last year I'd come home on my heaviest day and take a paracetamol for the aches after. Since I have been using collagen my workload has increased due to the lockdown but my recovery is far better dare I say I have more physical endurance. It's a great supplement gonna be in my diet from now on.

I can definitely attest to the benefits of collagen, especially when used with the Keto diet. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and have outrageously high inflammation levels. For the past 6 months my Rheumatologist has been doing a happy dance because my bloodwork hasn’t looked this great in years. Not to mention I haven’t had to have any cortisone injections.

@MaransCandy no she fully believes that it is from my Keto diet. She had mentioned to quit eating nightshades, but going low carb as well kicked it into hyperdrive. She actually asked if she could use me as an example for other patients.

Does this also apply for gelatin? Considering collagen and gelatin both have the same amino acid profile (glycine and proline) One of my secret low carb sweets is sugar-free jello. And it's gelatin. Only 5 calories per serving of 100g.

Please check the ingredients because most flavored jellos have Maltodextrin. It’s really bad for you.

Gelatin is better for gut issues ,but you need vitamin C with it
