""Mad Max" came out the exact same day as "MGS5" which didn't help it aside from Warner Bros simply not promoting it. It is my favorite 8th gen game with close to 300 hours in it, highly under-rated, thanks for showcasing it here!

As a huge MGS fan, I obviously picked up MGS on that day and played the ever living hell out of it. I later picked up Mad Max and enjoyed it a lot as well. Both really incredible gaming experiences. Just a shame they released the same exact day causing sales to not be as well as they could have been for Mad Max.

Once you get your fill of the OG games (Shadow of Chernobyl, Call of Pripryat, Clear Sky), give Anomaly a go. It's fan made, but it's nothing short of a phenomenal passion project that combines the worlds of all three games under a massively improved custom build of the engine, bringing it all together into a huge sandbox mode with tons of customization. The survival aspects, the atmosphere, the tension in combat, and the freedom are all unreal. Truly feels like the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was meant to become.

C T The main reason I personally liked it a lot was cause of the family/gang system. You had your own family and there are territories you can take over and essentially control yourself. Sometimes these territories would be hit by other gangs and you had to go and promoted you drive up to your territories and have a shoot out to protect them. Also you earned income from bribing shop owners to use your protections and pay you, so there was like an income system as well. These shops would come under attack as well. That’s personally why I played it so much as a kid, it was endless fun fighting these gangs and gaining turf. Not to mention the story was also cool

KOA: Reckoning is easily one of my top most favorite games. The most accepted reason that it’s not talked about that much is because it was released during Skyrim’s glory days, when it just first released. Three classes, with 6 levels to them. My first playthrough of it was a while ago, when i barely knew how video games worked. Now, my second playthrough? That one’s the main i chose, i picked the warrior destiny. I went all the way up to conqueror. One level away from Warlord. I had become the ruler of the House of Ballads, the Truesworn of the Warsworn. I kicked everyone’s ass. Niskaru, Tuatha, Trolls, Jottun, Bolgan, I had slain all of them. I wore my Warsworn armor throughout most of the game. I defeated fate, I won every battle. All but one. *_My controller’s right joystick. I could not beat it, it had broken. Sure it was playable, but at what cost? The moment I tilted it to the left, it would not stop. It stuck. I could not beat it._* So anyways thats how I got electrocuted from messing with my controller’s innards.

Thanks for mentioning The Saboteur. It is one of my all time favorite games. A game with one of the best atmospheres that i ever encountered. And a very unique setting. The color chromatic choice for the end of every story mission was one of my favorite aspects about the game. I am so sad that they never got to finish it properly. More missions were to be added (there are 2 secondary characters that dissapear at some point and nothing is to be heard about them anymore, also a whole area that cannot be explored easily that holds an entire castle. Supposedly there should have been a mission taking place there) and a lot of other tweaks to polish the game properly. At the same time while i am sad i always think to myself that there could have been the possibility for this game to never exist, should have ea closed Pandemic earlier. Those cunts. Keeping this in mind, i am happy that the game exists the way it is rather than not existing at all.

I am so sad the people who made it went bankrupt it was a bad choice of timing to release it on, as Skyrim was the king at the time if they had only waited till that hype died down or something. It was so unique and bright, the story was intresting and graffics were not bad back then, I myself chose to play it instead of Skyrim at times (No that doesn't mean I don't like Skyrim because I did, KOA Reckoning was just a refreshing change). =)

I actually just closed Mad Max before watching this video I love the game. I completely understand why some people were put off by its repetitive game play, but I think theres just enough variation to what can happen at any point, that it keeps it interesting for me. Sleeping Dogs is just straight up immersive. I still try to get at least one play through a year. I typically wait until Im on vacation to play that one so I have time to enjoy it.

I was hoping it would get better and BGS would fix it but it seems to just get worse and more exploitative every update. I lost hope in the game and I've lost hope in BGS idk if I'll even buy elder scrolls 6 when it comes out (and elder scrolls has been my favorite game franchise most of my life). I sure as hell ain't going to preorder their garbage anymore. I was a BGS fanboy but 76 showed me a side of that game company and greed that I thought only public trade companies would try to push. Not a privately owned and operated company like zenimax. Let's hope it doesn't leak into the other game studios like I'd software. I hope their greed hasn't ruined Doom Eternal.

If you think Fallout 76 is a good game, you'll love Mad Max. Mad Max is boring. Incredibly tedious, grinding, and monotonous. Without an overarching story to speak of. The graphics look amazing at first, for the first five or ten hours. Then you start traveling the massive wasteland and discover it all looks very much the same. Enemies also look very much the same. Vehicles too. Missions are fetch quests with little or no impact on the game. It's directionless and pointless.

Your character actually reflects XP as he gains it. Also you swing your sword using keyboard combinations and not just clicking a mouse button for ex. So say you go to a town and pay to have training in one handed swordsmanship...after the training you will find that your XP actually makes you swing the sword faster and you have more control over it. Until you train in 2 handed swordsmanship you can barely lift it and your swinging is clumsy. They try to mimic what real XP would do to you in real life and I really appreciated that!

The owner was a former baseball player that had no clue how to run or finance a business. And it got in trouble with the state. There was some kind of lawsuit. And yea. Also, EA is cancer. Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning is amazing, very fun to play, and still one of the most underrated games I've ever seen

Literally the first two I thought of were Dragons Dogma:Dark Arisen & Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Two of the best games I ever played, and never really talked about & I'll never understand why because for open world RPGs, they were absolutely amazing in their own unique ways. Mechanically they were just so superb

What time did they come out? Some really good games get buried in the hype waves of other games that have been heavily advertised or follow a story like Fallout 76 was so hyped, but so trash only bc it was a well known series.

Amalur came out around 2012 there was so many games coming out back then it was hard to keep up with them. Borderlands 2, Diablo 3, Far Cry 3, were all 2012...Skyrim was late 2011, GTA V was 2013...then the PS4 came out. Tons of games back in that era.

@@BurningUp99 yea that's what I'm saying. Some games just need advertisement, but the companies can't afford to compete with other games. Honestly newer games have a better chance of being better than an older title game such as halo or call of duty. The games that have been around for ever already snagged their fanbase so they tend to get lazy because they can and people will still buy it where new game titles need to catch people's attention there's no leeway.

I can't remember how many time I played a saboteur! Honestly such an amazing game. It was fun and arcadie but such a great story and replayability. I wish they did a part 2 or just did the graphics up. Great choice for the list!

I always found myself the only one who heard about or played it in all circles of people i was in. Glad to see there are fans of this game still. Recently got to play it again ( i think i played it more than 15 times) on PS3 for the first time, and i got platinum for it, felt so satisfying. One of my all time childhood favorite games.

I am mixed with that. The game was unique and beautiful. But i hate contrast, due to my laptop screen never liking higher brightness. So i was just half blind for the first day, until the colours came back. Except that, pretty nice.

I really liked LA noir aswell. A bit slower game but the open world was pretty neat.
