@@Torthrodhel it was okay, but it did no justice for the character. Boba Fett used to be a cool and mysterious bounty hunter that wouldn't take off his helmet and say one liners in an intimidating voice. Basically the evil version of Han Solo. Although the Sarlacc escape was pretty cool, the show didn't give us nearly enough high stakes action scenes. Boba Fett became an old politician while he left Fennec Shand to do most of the heavy lifting when it came to the fighting department. Plus the return of so many Mandalorian characters was so unnecessary you'd think you're watching The Mandalorian season 2.5 especially considering there's even an entire episode and many scenes dedicated to what he did after he gave Grogu to Luke Skywalker. I was okay with the Tusken backstory and Rancor taming, but we needed an action packed show of Fett doing what a Fett does best. Not a past-his-prime old man (who shouldn't even be that old or weak because this happened literally only 5 years after his "death" in Episode VI) who decides to become a politician spending half the show in a bacta tank. And it especially shouldn't provide extra plot on Mando and Co when it isn't his show. Had potential but ultimately wasted it. A solid 6/10. I know this is long but I hope this clears things up for you.

Kojiro from Brave Fencer Musashi also deserves a footmark. Yes and no You find Tiso throughout Hallownest where he speaks of this glorious arena (the Colosseum), then if you saved Zote twice you find Zote in the resting area of the Colosseum, then you fight Zote as the final boss of the first challenge tier. Then you find Tiso there, so the player gets the idea that Tiso would be the final boss of the second tier challenge, but it turns out that he was not Then the player can see his body falling in the area before the Colosseum If the player goes to the Godhome DLC, one of the boss rush challenges has Tiso as the boss on-screen, so the player thinks "Finally I can fight Tiso" just for the Brooding Mawlek to fall from the sky and crush Tiso This would make it a double fake out

Kirby games also has something similar going on. (spoiler for recent kirby games below) During the postgame of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, after defeating Forgo Leon, the boss which was possessing him comes out title screen and all, in his soul form, as per Kirby tradition of postgame content having the soul form of the main story defeated boss return for revenge. But before the fight can start, a butterfly comes in, absorbs Soul Forgo, and you get to fight Morpho Knight instead. It appears that Kirby games is now setting a NEW trend of postgame bosses being interrupted and absorbed by an orange butterfly to fight Morpho knight, seeing that the exact same thing happened in Star Allies. Though don't worry, there's still another definitive final, final postgame boss fight in the true, true arena where you still usually fight those.

Madness: Project Nexus has Gestalt, who actually kills multiple bosses before you get to fight him. He even squishes the recurring boss pair right before his fight.

Anyone else notice how many of those were Capcom games? Must be a go-to move for them.

How about the Jackal from Warframe? I know it was a meme, but it’s still pretty intimidating when it first happens

A similar thing happens in Gravity Rush 1, this big, huge boss makes this menacing entrance only to immediately be killed by the rival character. Ugh, so underrated!
