This channel on KZitem is possibly one of the most underrated ones. Your explanations are so clear that even a novice would easily grasp them. I have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge about videography and lighting techniques from this channel, and I cannot express my gratitude enough. I look forward to learning more from you and sincerely hope that this channel thrives and reaches a larger audience of passionate beginner videographers out there, because they have no idea what they're missing out on.

Wow! what a beautiful comment to see to start my day. Thank you so much and it makes me very happy to know I am helping :) I hope you don't mind me asking but when you see one of my videos that you like could you possibly share it on your social media or any relevant forums, hopefully that will help more people find my content (don't worry if you don't want to of course!!) Thanks again and hope you like the videos I've got coming soon :) All the best, Jason :)

This helped me a lot. I'm trying to build a set in my room but all the walls are white and it's hard to keep only the subject lighted. This just gave me a really nice insights even tho i'm using a bunch of cheap lights lol

Excellent and very informative video - thanks. I seem to exclusively shoot in front a white office walls, so this was very useful. The main issue I have is that it's often in quite small office meeting rooms where it's difficult to get subject and key far enough away from the back wall.

Thanks Ben! :) Do you ever take any negative fill/black material to hang on walls/paper backdrops or anything or would that be too much extra gear to transport?

@@JasonRobertsVideo I've recently invested in some black backdrop material and negative fill/reflectors with stands to use when jobs allow. Most of my corporate work is in London though and getting into central London, in a van with lots of kit, as a one man crew is a bit of a challenge and in most cases "gold plating" against client expectations. Find that most meeting rooms (the room the client assigns for interviews despite my guidance) are either white or glass walled with noisy air con, hard floors, automatic ceiling lights and no furniture. Good times! :)

Yuk - sounds like a mission! I've been in many meeting rooms in my life and I think I've only ever seen a couple of "nice" looking ones with non-white walls and wood panels - but most are white boxes. Sounds like you are doing the best you can though and if it meets the client's requirements then that's all that matters really :)
