Word of the Day: Armistice - An agreement made by opposing sides in a war to stop fighting for a certain time; A truce. Health Cookie #12: If you engage in intermittent fasting, especially if you do one meal per day, consider drinking a full glass of water that contains a lot of Himalayan Rock Salt (like a tablespoon) first thing in the morning. It gives you a buffer by providing you with several electrolytes that your body needs to thrive, such as Calcium, Potassium, and Zinc. Many "health experts" claim that the mineral content in Himalayan Rock Salt is negligible, but they are wrong, because since you're fasting all day, and you're not consuming processed foods which deplete your body's stores of minerals at a greatly accelerated rate, then the vitamins and minerals you DO consume will last a lot longer, and do a lot more for you. Himalayan Rock Salt won't make a health difference for somebody who wakes up to something shitty like Oatmeal or Pancakes, but if all you eat is a natural breakfast rich in protein and fat, or if you don't eat at all, then those minerals obtained from a tablespoon of Himalayan Rock Salt will definitely benefit the rest of your day in terms of your alacrity and vivacity. Andrew Huberman's morning routine - praised by a great many people and touted as effective among them all - consists of waking up, consuming a glass of water containing a tablespoon of Himalayan Rock Salt, then stepping outside for 10 minutes to expose yourself to the outdoors, before coming in, having a cold shower, and then having a coffee to wrap it all up. You not only get a surge of BDNF from the cold shower and coffee since they stimulate hormesis in your body, but you also replenish depleted minerals and fully rouse your mind from the burdensome drowsiness associated with post-sleep stupor.

starting in the wasteland is hard, here are some good tips specific for this biome for anyone new watching this. Looting Tips: *raid as many cars as you can day 1, as they can give u purple weapons and tools, chests also have much better loot then expected. *setup storage containers on the street outside the POIs you are raiding, *drop off loot in the storages, so you dont fight encumbered. *drop off all seeds/ bones/ paper and other items u will use later in the caches you can pick them up later when u start farming and have a better mode of transport. *buy up and horde cans of peas for later use, feel free to eat all the other canned food. *higher tier poi kitchens typically have cooking pots, consider beelining to one to get ur cooking online *clear out POI's during the day so you can return to loot them during the night, Survival Tips: *equip rocks in your belt, these are essential to ward off bears and fatties especially at night *equip hatches in your belt, and dont hesitate to setup door barricades inside unknown POI's or fallback positions in case u meet ferals. *equip and collect torches to light up POI's and use candles to light up your base as seeing the zombies before they see u is super smart. *equip cloth armor as fast as you can as a full set effectively lowers difficulty by 1 and allows you to equip usefull mods. *dont scrap all your pipe shotguns and snipers emediately, consider equipping 2-3 of them so you can use them all in tight situations without reloading. *setup ladders to make a quick getaway in case you get in a bad spot.

Your tips and advice will DEFINITELY keep somebody alive, and improve their success rate. The only piece of advice that I find questionable, is looting a POI at night which you've cleared out during the day. Night time in the Wasteland is extremely dangerous, with lots of Feral zombies consistently spawning, and you might have a lot of outside Zombies coming inside, if you loot, for example, a car in a house's garage. Looting during the day is much safer in the wasteland, because at night, you got Feral Big Boys, Feral Big Mamas, Feral Bikers, Wights, etc

@@DisciplineBeforeDishonor correct it can be dangerous, but it's more of a issue of situational awareness. All the random night enemies typically start spawning at 10pm or later So it's better to finish the POI quest during the day hours and settle all the fights then then leave the night for looting Even a day loot on a POI can be ruined by a bear or dogs or a horde coming in at the wrong time. Hense the other survival rules about using rocks to distract, fallback positions and ladders. sneaking in a previously explored empty house at night you should be relatively as safe as in your base and fairly productive

Nicely done. I hear what you're saying about reconsidering the heavy armor but with the knife being your main melee weapon and most Z's being on Nightmare I think the risk may outweigh the gain. Great start ,looking forward to the next episode . Oh and i still think you made the right choice not gifting yourself with any form of headlamp / night vision from the word go. I can't understand it when streamers say they give themselves a headlamp for the sake of their viewers. Its so much more atmospheric when we are all stumbling around in the dark together from the start. 👍

I couldn't agree more, it's far more difficult and intense - for the player and the viewer - when darkness is an obstacle to be overcome. I think you're right about the heavy armor too, honestly mobility is truly King on these settings, it only takes one Feral Biker to totally screw my day up, and even just one piece of heavy armor could have him catching up with me

I found and watched Frigid Abyss first then Metropolis. I'm glad you gave this one another go. It's a brilliant idea and deserved a do-over. I hope you do something similar with Abyss. I don't think you had time to do justice to the series. Like you, I love me some Glock! His long ago Cabin in the Woods was my intro to 7d2d. It might be cool to see you do something similar, just with your own crazy twist! I'm coming to learn that you're a bit nutso! Rock on!

LOL Bravery and innovation walk hand in hand with madness 🤪 I'm definitely revisiting both of these series' after I take a brief intermission to do a State of Decay 2 series, and knowing how strict my ruleset is for State of Decay 2, it won't be long before I've died and that series comes to an abrupt end 😂 Rock on and stick around, happy to have you in this community! 🤘

So one minor suggestion... You're obviously a fan of Glock, and one idea you might want to consider pinching from him is to give yourself a mining helmet to start off. I know the darkness adds to the atmosphere and all, but we can't see shit half the time when you're fighting inside. Other than that nitpicky little thing, really good and entertaining content. I promise, I can't see anything either LOL, that's why I need the torch! But I prefer that though, it adds to the challenge quite a bit, and makes the Helmet Light feel like a god-tier loot item

Did I miss that? Damn I know about that weapons bag, I'd be really surprised if I left it behind >_> Maybe I accidentally removed the clip of me looting it during editing, but it's also possible that I flopped and forgot it. This is the gas station where there's two wood piles inside, with a duffel bag behind the wood piles, right?

I thought I'd try to make this my horde base, by building a hatch hallway on the rooftop! I think I construct it in episode 2, that's why I left the ladder there. I WISH we could find a helmet light at the trader, but it looks like we might have to buy a 3000 Duke mining helmet if we want to get the helmet light mod =(
