In the US look for Aquamar brand surimi. Walmart carries it. Its got a much better flavor and richer taste than the Louis Kemp brand. I know lots of folks don't like it but I had surimi when I was young first. I really like it. Do I like real crab better? Of course lol but cost wise and knowing full well it's not real crab I really like fake crab. The Aquamar comes in legs or chunks. We like the legs cut in half for making sushi rolls at home. Both my son in law and grandson love it light fried in butter with a touch of soy sauce and then folded into an omelet with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of what ever cheese is in the fridge 😅 In summer when the garden is going full blast I make a chopped salad with tomato/ cucumbers/ sweet bell peppers/lettuce/baby white turnips or radishes chopped green onions and big chunks of the surimi. Any dressing you like. Mostly I like a little ranch or this one type of zesty French called Western dressing. But I've made due with balsamic vinegar and oil and squeeze of lemon too Geez. It's only 6 in am here and I'm hungry for fake 🦀 😂

what is it like there in the us?
@rubiitoxic
5 ай бұрын
@@jwc3535well, think about it like this, we have 50 states within the US. Each state has their own government under the whole US government. Throughout this country we have many different climates, viewpoints, dishes, etc. I am from California myself, if I went to New York, Texas, etc. someone is likely to recognize my west coast accent against their much different, but still in English, accents. We don't have convenience stores like this where I'm from but it's not exactly easy or cheap to travel the country to see how they cook their instant foods. We technically have 7-11 but if someone from Japan, for instance, went to a 7-11 here, they'd be very disappointed. There's a company of convenience store/truck stops known as Buccee's in Texas, I think they're the largest in the US. We also have the always inadequate AMPM. I have no idea what they do for convenience store on the east coast. In my experience, you heat up your food in a microwave around here, much like the ones where you hit a certain number for the right cook time and intensity

I know right! My grandson and I were watching them in one of the night market walking ones. He loves ramen. We watched a vendor stirfry with eggs some ramen noodles with all types of veggies and seafood. So of course I had to bring my wok next day to their house and egg fried ramen noodles with some veggies and shrimp(it was all I had in the freezer) he and I really loved it and his big sister and the baby(only 1 at the time) both had some too. This channel opened up all kinds of fun things to try at home. We even made tonghulo(spelling? ) Grapes/strawberries and peaches boy that was fun but sooooo sticky and messy! Took a whole week of scrubbing to get all the sticky sugar off the stove top 🤣 But it was fun.

Maybe tearing the cheese stick might help. I saw some videos of people eating in convenient store and most of them shredded the stick into thin and long pieces You can cook the noodle first, put the cheese in later and keep cooking or put it in the microwave to melt the cheese Or you can use other kinds of mozzarella (like the square piece or the shredded one). I tried the square one on the cooked noodle then put it in the microwave for 1-2 mins. It did come out quite stretchy Hope this comment can be helpful
