Nice video but… pretty much the same attractions. Just to name a few « others »: 1- village vacance valcartier 2- ski resorts 3- rafting 4- gourmet tours 5- ghost tours 6- biking/roller blading/swimming at the infinity pool at promenade samuel de champlain 7- aquarium 8- the many museums 9- music festivals (including FEQ) 10- cruise on st-laurence 11- ile d’orléans 12- Mega Parc. I am just naming a few because you can do pretty much anything you want and more! Plan ahead there are much more things to do than visiting old buildings (which are great though)

I love this video and all the ways to enjoy old Quebec City. It is truly special and probably as close to a visit to Europe as one can have without crossing the Atlantic. Thanks for showing us so many wonderful places to visit. I'm a tea person too so especially loved afternoon tea with "the sisters".

These are the unique locations that the other vloggers miss. Wow. Awesome. I am hoping to go this year. I visited there when I was on a band exchange trip in 1979, but I didn't have any guides, so we didn't see anything really cool. I want to go back and see all the cool things I missed, like the places you have called out!

Incredible. Even just one of those things is enough to warrant a visit to that stunning city! The Citadel might be my first choice? I love the idea of the Book of Remembrance. That would definitely move me as well. OMG did you say a prisoner in that Morrin Centre was just seven years old! Geez. Anyway this was absolutely brilliant! And those views!!
@EileenAldis
Жыл бұрын
Hey Scott! Women gave birth in the prison that used to be in the Morrin Centre too. A 7-year-old prisoner is heartbreaking. The Book of Remembrance at the Citadel is a beautiful way of showing gratitude and remembering those we've lost. I was glad to learn about it from our guide since the building and book themselves are off limits to visitors. Quebec City is such a lovely place and you're absolutely right that there's a ton to do and many reasons to visit :)

J.A. Moisan is NOTHING like it was for most of my 55 years on this earth. Since it was last sold, it shrunk to 1/3 of its original size and lost most of the imported goodies that made it so special to shop in. Also, I've been living here on and off since I was 15 (the rest of my time was spent in 6 other provinces), and while most people are ignorant of that fact (even most Quebec City francophones), there IS a pretty big and thriving English-speaking community here. With its own library, schools (up to College/CEGEP), newspaper, and until a few years ago, local TV station.

For those Louise Penny fans out there, she sets her book "Bury Your Dead" in the Literary and Historical Society Building you feature early in this video. I've walked past the building before but didn't go inside, and always wondered if the beautiful old library Penny describes was contained within. It is! Thanks for the lovely video about this gem of a city. 🙌🙌🙌
