Man, I always told Joel he needs to go pro... he should be narrating big time projects...like seriously, he should submit a voiceover resume to production companies. A la Forensic Files, Unsolved Mysteries, Cold Case Files, FBI Files etc. Joel truly has that special quality that makes his voice shine and stand out amongst the thousands of other narrator's.

So the dude in the second story found out that the sounds and gunfire he heard were from multiple well-armed bikers who had just raped and, as far as they knew murdered a woman, and this knowledge made him feel MORE guilty for not charging off into the night to try to help? Maybe he'd feel less guilty if he'd done the only sensible thing he could have done in that situation, which wouldn't have put him in any danger, only cost him some time: gotten back to his car and called the police as quickly as possible, or barring that, stopped in at the nearest police station told them the tale. I'm not exactly sure why the two options were to do absolutely nothing and run away; or to go charging in, full on one man commando, to an unknown, dangerous situation.

Its funny how scared of the woods people are, for good reason most of the time. The scariest thing, other than a few bears, coyotes and a huge wild turkey (those things are scary looking), was the young guy in a trench coat holding an axe knocking on our door at 6:00am! Hard to say if newlywed guy was actually guilty, since A) on the surface lying about it might make it look that way initially, or B) if he thought he might **appear** guilty if he said anything to relative strangers about his wife just dying, or C) he thought it best to handle his shock and grief w/o mentioning details to the strangers since he was horribly distraught at that moment in time and needed to call 911 or speak to the authorities when they got there.

my parents had been so quick with "oh yeah?! So now your graduated a$$ is nothing but grounded until you get your own place..." "you can just sleep all you want. 'How if your grounded will you get a job to get a place of your own?' You can take as many days of sleep as you want to think about it." "Oh now you don't care to sleep so much? You have your ged." I would have been punched. 🤣🤣🤣👀

I always love these, but one thing that is the ultimate most scary thing is when you are hiking alone and three drunk guys that were partying decide they want to have some fun with you as well, and there's nothing you can do about it because no one else is around.

That's why my wife has a ccl and is always armed. Everyone should carry a gun these days especially women.

@@heavymetalredneck7973 Right! Used to be I encountered no body on trail...now I see people living in the wilderness where I used to be alone. Camps. And the men don't have anything to lose. I had a situation where a man without pants, playing with himself started to approach me as I sat by the river, nowhere to go. I was scared, not knowing if I was going to have to jump in the river to get away from him and float away. Out in the middle of nowhere a bicyclist comes down the trail and I start yelling for help. He sees the man and yells at him "I see you", the man runs off into the bushes, I run and get by the bicyclist and just hold him for dear life. I was so scared. He was a very nice man, he calmed me down and took me to the trailhead, said the exact same thing to me "that's why my wife doesn't come on these trails unless she's armed or with a buddy". At the trailhead when the cops got there, a couple approaches us and the perv approached that man's girlfriend in the woods, too! Without pants and doing what he was doing, obviously nothing good was going to happen with that man's intentions. I agree. Be armed and be aware.
