Recently bought a home in the Rangeview community. This location is close to shopping , the SHC hospital and YMCA. It’s also the only community that will have a greenhouse and outdoor gardens for growing vegetables that Rangeview members can access. Also a great location with direct routes to Hwy 2 and Stoney Trail .

@@GreyWhiteBlue not sure what you mean by that, but it’s ok to not have the same opinion on topics and get along. I don’t love the large footprint of Calgary and what it does to the land, but at the same time if people are moving here and homes are needed, how else can that problem be solved? It really is a larger issue than what we can solve in this thread.

This video is awesome... Really helpful. I'll be in Calgary next week for a quick visit to Banff, Lake Louise & Jasper. On the drive out to Banff, I'm hoping to check out some communities & model homes, which would you suggest? This little holiday is a look see for me on what winter is like, thinking of moving from Mississauga, ON & try life in Calgary as my employer has a Calgary office. Any inside would be awesome.

What is really awesome is the houses are so close together you can’t even have company over because there is no where to park. Also the furnace has been put through hell during construction , run with no filters and poorly cleaned after. You’ll have technicians at your house on and off for a year after you move in. Don’t forget all the drywallers pissing in the floor drain constantly. Welcome to your new home.

helpful video! moving to calgary in march and renting our first year and if we can endure the winter we are looking to buy early 2023. exciting to see so many developments! would you say living NW/NE is best if we're big hikers so we're closest to the mountains or it doesn't matter since there's the highway that goes all around calgary?

Thanks for watching and commenting Tina! Yeah, if you’re in the NE, take Stoney around to hwy1 would be tops 15 min added to your trip vs living in the NW. Super rough estimate as where in the NE and NW determines time too.

Hey, can you comment on new YYC builders using minor technicalities to walk away from deals (signed last year) before possession to flip the home to new buyers at a >$ profit. Local lawyer was tweeting that a larger builder had done this 4 times in the last few weeks. Should a lawyer be engaged right off the bat?
@ChamberlainGroup

A lawyer and an agent should be involved. If you go straight to the builders, and you don’t know what you’re signing, yes things could change depending on what’s in their contracts

@@thingshappens HOA = Home Owners Association. It’s essentially a cost of a couple hundred dollars per year typically that is added to the property taxes and usually goes towards community upkeep and boulevard maintenance like flowers or gardening in the summer months.
