Yeah I owned a explore sport Trac, key word, owned. Rolled it 17 times with three passengers at interstate speeds. I'm never owning, or riding in one EVER again. And effected me is an understatement. To this very day if someone drives a tiny bit too fast for my liking, which isn't fast at all, headed towards a turn or into a turn I freak out and my body straight panics because it really feels like I'm gonna roll again, and the very moment still haunts my dreams. That was without a doubt the most terrifying moment of my life. And that's why I refuse to ever own or get into one ever again

Some of these boil down to "who's driving what" of course the Camaro and Mustang are on the list, they're driven by teenagers with something to prove and too much power to handle. The BRZ/gt86/FRS is also one of those cars where it's the driver pushing the car too hard or not knowing how to handle it. It's a miracle the Pinto wasn't on the list, given their tendency to explode in rear-endings

A driver does not determine if a car is dangerous. Poor design does. Ford Pintos with exploding gas tanks should be the kind of car on this list. But hey Corvettes Mustangs and BRZs get more clicks. The crash of the BRZ/FRS on track that hit the wall was caused by the BMW in front of it. But yeah they are SO dangerous. This video is full of terrible and manipulated information.

The problem is not the cars but the idiots who drive them. I drive a 1990 V8 Mustang, a 2004 350Z and a 2014 Infiniti Q60S and have no issues staying on the road with any of them. In fact, their quick handling and acceleration has actually got me out of tight situations. Problem today is that too many cars are way over powered and too many drivers are totally unskilled. Most drivers can not even grasp the rudiments of using turn signals.

BRZ are actually VERY safe. One of the safest in crash tests in their category, actually. Subaru normally goes as some of the best in crash tests. You can imagine how fast these people were going to get to the point of dying in one of these... In this regard, you can pretty surely point to the drivers instead of the car. Too bad it goes in the opposite direction of what the car offers, tho.

I own a 86 and I can't say I've ever put someone in danger while driving. You have total control over the car. It doesn't need much speed for a powerslide or drift. Its fun to drive in corners but you might get a little cocky or aggressive when people in front of you have to brake in a corner, where you could drive without going off the throttle or braking. You just have to be careful on rainy weather but that goes for all RWD cars. I would totally recommend anybody that car for fun AND daily driving!

First Gen Audi TT Quatro (1999-2000). This vehicle didn't have a spoiler and had over 150 crashes in the first year it was released in Europe alone. Although, only 5 deaths were recorded. Chevy Cavilers and Pontiac Sunfires haves a tendency to roll over whereas most other vehicles, except SUVs, would normally stay on their wheels. Ford Pinto. The cars would ignite in flames during most rear end collisions. Ironically enough, Ford's slogan was, "Ford Pinto, it'll leave you with a warm feeling."

Actually, the technology behind the explosive charge to get rid of the door has been around forever: mainly in aviation. The first sequence in an ejection is to jettison the canopy, or in a B-52, blow the hatches away from the ejection seat (all positions are equipped, the lower deck personnel get ejected DOWN; the only position to never be equipped with an ejection seat was when the tail gunner was actually, you know, back with the guns). All of the "disposable" spacecraft (Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Soyuz) have had explosive hatches to facilitate evacuation (on the ground anyway). Apollo did not have it originally, until they figured out that inward opening hatch + fire inside the cabin = dead crewman (Apollo 1).

I’m not surprised that majority of the cars are American. BMW once said “The key to perfect handling is perfect balance” You gotta start with a balanced car then a skilled driver. I don’t have the money to pay for special driving courses, so I played a lot of gran turismo growing up, then when it snows like crazy I went out in a beater crown vic and practice and low and behold, I can do 60mph+ in ice and snow in the real world. as a corvette bloke who drives like the terminator, I stand in stock opposition to the reckless and hot-headed image of those who drive older corvettes. then again, with the new breed of corvette came a new breed of corvette drivers, so the times have changed substantially. the BRZ is, as of 2022, one of the safer cars you can get. also, carbon fibre is a good thing to replace sheet metal door and hood exteriors with. also the downside of Lamborghini boom doors is that there are several amusing stories about how it can malfunction easily on the older models and just blast off your door for no reason at all at the worst possible time. and always have a glass breaker in your car. and roll cages/bars are a must on performance vehicles. even if you don't roll, I've seen what a flip can do to the roof of a car. A car enthusiast channel that clearly doesn’t understand the difference between causation and correlation using sketchy statistics to say the cars themselves are dangerous? And not just any cars, but pretty much all of the most popular enthusiast cars that people on the other side are already trying to demonize and get off the roads. Why would anyone continue watching this channel?

the brz is extremely dangerous. imagine a killer is in your house and you run to your car, drive as fast as you can but the killer just lightly jogs after you

It seems like most of the dangerous cars in this video are powerful and fast. It looks like powerful and fast cars tempt people to drive them fast and in hazardous ways.

The main safety factor is the nut holding the steering wheel.

The problem with the ford mustang is torque steer caused by weak lower control arms. It's an extremely cheap fix. I'm always shocked how no one ever mentions the real reason why mustags swerve during hard accelerations and why it isn't a recall

Never had issues with Corvette drivers. It was always the F1 Prius drivers.

To be fair, it's not the cars that are dangerous, but the drivers' lack of skills that make the cars dangerous. V8 rear-drive cars are not a rare species, but people driving either the Mustang, Corvette, Camaro, or the smaller engine BRZ/86, just do not know when to lift their feet from the gas pedal.

The FT86 Platform may be a bit twitchy, but driver error is driver error no matter if it's an S2000 or a Viper. Source: it's the most stable car I've owned

The new camaro has horrible blind spots. When they came out the body shops filled up with them.

I suggest you that next video should be "7 types of drivers that are dangerous as hell", that would make more sense
